He is very accessible. He will help you with whatever problem you have (literally no matter how stupid). His lectures are clear and concise (for the most part). He tapes his lectures in-case you didn't catch something. He has all of his outcomes posted so you know what to expect. I would take him over any software teacher that I have had here.

Professor Taylor is there to teach because he enjoys it, and it definitely shows. If you need help with anything, he will do his absolute best to try to help you. He records his lecture, puts notes up online and gives incredible feedback. His class may be tough at times. It's not that he wants to be mean, he sincerely believes in you, and he should

Took him for Data structures which I was told would be very hard. I actually suck at java, but came out of the class with an A and I did not even study! Labs are very relevant to the material and he goes over the labs before lab day, which is a major plus and also probably why I did so well. Would definitely take again!

Awesome professor that knows computer science very well. He knows how to teach material well so the textbook isn't used once. The tests were easy as long as you pay attention in class and take practice exams on his website.

TAKE HIM WHILE YOU CAN, he doesn't seem to teach many higher-level courses. Good guy, lots of dry humor, you are given a good few days to finish labs and he grades them fairly (DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT). Never looked at the book. He prepares you adequately for tests/quizzes, the final was tougher than the rest of the class though.

Impossible labs. Condescends students for not understanding. I spent every minute of every day programming for this class and still didn't get my labs done; only 3 out of 25 in the class handed in the last lab on time. Has no concept of teaching to non-SE's; displays hostility towards people who don't love coding or aren't good at it. AVOID.

Seems to be a good professor but you can sense the loathing he has for you and your non SE major throughout the course. Was extremely difficult to please and last labs where not given enough time. Is no very approachable for questions on labs, even been known to refuse helpng students.
