Comment:

Awesome math teacher! Highly recommend to anyone struggling in math. Make sure you have time to do the homework and are consistent with it. Group quizzes and take home tests help a lot for the exams!

Comment:

Mrs. Hughes is fantastic, but probability and statistics isn't easy. She does a great job keeping the subject interesting. This was the second class that I've taken her for and would gladly take her again. She is upbeat and willing to laugh at herself if she makes a mistake . Truly enjoyed going to class.

Comment:

Had her for MATH130, we didn't need the textbook, however we did need a $100+ online code to take online quizes. Homework was not mandatory and there were only 4 tests including the final. Really good professor, will help you if you need it. Lots of notes though, but not too bad.

Amazing at what's she does. She has great notes and is accessible out side of class through emails. She goes at a good pace with having tests and quizzes every other week with really good reviews for the test. I would 100% take her again.

I had her for Math 150 (Probability and Statistics). She has group quizzes, indiv. quizzes and exams. She goes through the notes needed for the course right along with you and gives many examples. Homework is assigned but not mandatory; it's more for your understanding. Gives clear information about what will be on exams. Great professor.

She is very clear about the work required to receive a good grade. She will explain everything in a thorough manner. Plenty of group activities allow for plenty of opportunities to do the work during class. She is one of the best professors in the math department and possibly at the college.

She can answer nearly any question you have and she explains advanced topics in laymans terms. Her teaching style is adaptive to nearly all learning styles and she gives out plenty of hand-outs and group work to pave the way from you.

She explains stuff really well. If you're bad at math, you need this woman. Her teaching style helped me so much. Only complaint is that it's hard to get an A on tests.

Mrs. Hughes is great....I was a bit skeptical about taking a math class, but I am really enjoying it. This is a spring class so the information is coming fast but she is very thorough in her lectures and give a lot of examples.

She is a great professor. Her classes are fun and don't feel like a 3 hour class. She explains things in great detail and if you still have questions she does not get frustrated at all. She is willing to help at all cost. She is motivating and makes writing exciting. I did not want to miss a class. I would definitely take another class.

I feel like all those years spent hating math were a waste. I wish that every instructor made sure that the material they were presenting was this clear. One can really tell that she enjoys the material.

I don't understand why everyone thinks she is so amazing. She offers no extra credit and is a tough grader. Everyday is constant new material, so it's extremely easy to fall behind. She often covers multiple sections in a day, which for Calculus is a bad idea. She is a nice person, but her class is way harder than most other raters let on.

Every day new material, not much time spent reviewing. Very fast paced, and tests were not easy. I am not saying they should be cake, but they should not be the level that they are at either.I am good at math, but find myself concerned what I will get on test's that I study for. Funny so many people think she is the bomb.

She did so well explaining things that I didn't even need the book. Just show up and she'll use examples to show you all the concepts. Your final grade is based heavily on tests, and not at all on homework, which was perfect for me.

Awesome teacher! She gives great handouts and really prepares you for the exams. Her class is very structured and you always know when a test or quiz is coming up. Her class isn't easy, but you leave understanding the material. Highly recommended as a calculus teacher.
