Lectures a decent amount but is very interactive with the class and engages her students to give their feedback. There is a decent amount of homework but usually it can be done in one sitting if you have an hour to dedicate to her homework only. Grading is really fair. She's pretty funny as well.

Awful teacher. She teaches you really nothing unless you don't know primary and secondary resources. Then wow cause that's her specialization. She will score you a 29 if you need a 30 to pass. Completely would not recommend you'd likely learn more in a yoga class.

You might get the first assignment back on the last day of class. If you're lucky. She's is also not very clear about what she wants from assignments and like many others have said it seems like mostly busy work. When she actually bothers to teach class it is quite fun, but otherwise I would skip this teacher.

Work was very interesting and not too long. I loved the class. She grades harshly. I am a good student and received a C. VERY strict on grammar. Very picky about little things. If you want a good grade in a history class you might want to take someone else. But overall I loved the class!

Unless you are head over hills for history, don't take this class. I passed the class but barley! And I'm an A student! Sorry, but I wouldn't take another one of her classes again.....

Awesome teacher. Hated history until I took her class. Whole new experience and ways to understand history. One of the best teacher I've had here at butte I wish I could be in her class for all of my history classes.

Worst teacher yet. Does not grade assignments in a timely fashion or at all. Does not make herself available for help. Is not clear on expectations. Grades for English only, not Historical content. Expect a full point per mistake, even if it's just a word you wrote that she thought there was a better one for. Very hypocritical.

Pros & cons. She expects spelling to be accurate, but hardly wrote or verbally spelled out any proper nouns. She grades harshly, gives lots of busy work, and barely utilized the textbooks. She's teaching one class this semester, yet she couldn't give our graded work back in a reasonable time! Helpful, and clear in directions, but I don't recommend.

I think people go into this class thinking it'll be easy and then judge the teacher because it's not what they expected. This is college level, and she expects that. Don't be lazy. End of story.

Attendance and book are needed. There are no tests just a quiz about every week and the final is just participation. Since the book isn't really a standard text book the assignments are actually kinda cool fast and easy. If you do the simple work and come to class you will get an A or B no problem.

Christie is a nice lady, but she really ran this class in an odd way. The book that we read out of was very unconventional and most of our assignments were "busy work" that taught me very little. Also, she tends to grade harshly; if you make so much as a single mistake on a paper, you are going to lose a lot of points. I don't recommend her.

She's cool, but her teaching methods are weird. She only allows a MAXIMUM number of words on essays. Seriously, who does that? I've never seen a teacher to that before. I got Cs on all the essays because I had to cut stuff out, to stay within her limit. That was the funniest thing I've ever seen. And she grades harshly. Expect Cs on all your stuff.

Mrs. T is cool, though I don't like her teaching methods. She pretty much expects us to learn it ourselves, and she doesn't teach the material until after the tests. She also grades harshly, I was as specific as I could, and still got Cs on my papers. She's fun though. I liked the cultural artifacts and I even got her to dance with us for mine. :D

Very enthusiastic teacher. She likes thinking of new ways to teach the subject matter and keep students engaged. She missed a lot of class during my semester and always extended deadlines when needed. Overall great experience for someone who is not a fan of history.

This class is extremely interesting and fun to learn. I have learned a lot and got new perspectives on things. I loved it. She loves what she teaches which is always a good thing. She is slow at handing back assignments, and grades harshly on tests, just make sure you know what you are talking about and do your work, thoroughly.

Very easy teacher, had very little out of class work until the end of the semester. easy to go to class and pass the tests. grading wasn't hard; just a college professor expecting college level work.

Kind of an awkward teacher, but she is very knowledgeable about her subject. Really, the only negative to her class is that she grades harshly. She makes you take notes, and then gradethe like an essay.

Trolinger is tough, but she is willing to help you if you're willing to ask and listen. I started out horrible in her class and ended up with a perfect score on the final and an A in the class. It's one of those classes you MUST apply yourself in though. Lots of studying and being thorough on tests and essays. You learn more than in other classes.
