He's a great professor with very detailed insights into all the books that are read in this W class. During discussion, he tends to elaborate his questions so much so that you'll probably zone out by the time he's finished so don't be afraid to ask for him to clarify, he loves to hear that. The books are very interesting for a W class.

So, I pretty much like him, but we have worksheets that are really long and go along with the reading and he won't post them until like fourteen hours before they're due the evening before the class, which is crazy. It's so hard to plan ahead and it's so frustrating.

Wonderful prof! a lot of reading and average assignment load but very interesting. Have taken several of his classes and loved them all. If you do your work and show up to class you will do fine. Feedback is slow but excellent when received.

Professor Cobb is the best professor I've ever had ever! 1. He's is an amazing person and is concerned with the bigger picture when it comes to text analysis. 2. He's really good at navigating class discussion. 3. He's the most brilliant/competent individual that's ever existed and you would benefit just glimpsing his aura of genius.

Dr. Cobb is a great teacher who loves his work (especially in Shakespeare classes). Engaged with students, good at fostering energetic discussion. Brought in readings from sources other than the play text and took us to see a few plays. If you do the work and don't write papers at the last minute, you will excel.

I took this class on a whim and absolutely loved it. He is nerdy and hilarious, kind and smart. His lectures were fascinating and rapport was great between everyone. Papers were lengthy and a bit hard, a lot of reading material, but overall a great class and wonderful professor who I respected and found so endearing

Prof Cobb is an incredibly nice guy! The workload can get pretty heavy at times, so his classes may not be for non-English majors/lovers. But for those who can take all the reading, Cobb's semi-nervous humor and stress free discussion set-up makes class pretty fun. Only other downside: his handwriting can be slightly difficult to read at times.

THE GOOD: Dr. Cobb is hilarious. He always gives back great feedback on your work & loves to find fun ways of teaching the material. THE BAD: His handwriting is hard to make out, he stumbles around questions & essay prompts so they're a bit confusing, & the 1st week is tough. Don't let that turn you off, though! He & his hippy hair are awesome!
