Chuck is a great professor. The course content itself is a bit challenging but he presents everything in an understandable way. He tells you a week prior exactly what is going to be on the exam and sends you weekly emails of reminders.

This was the most difficult course I have ever taken. After a month of field trips, the lab turns into your semester project. I spent several hours outside of class working on my project each week. Chuck and the TAs are harsh graders and the exams are extremely difficult and it's hard to understand Chuck's teachings(until the genetics exam).

Absolutely great guy. Insists on being called Chuck. Very nice. Field trip to KBS is great. However, you will hate fruit flies by the end. Don't used them for your independent group project.
