I'm no Math whiz, but I'm pretty sure Chuck made this class a lot more miserable than it should have been. His class lectures vary wildly from useful to completely irrelevant, and his HW assignments are obscenely hard (and graded hard!) Even the Math Center can't figure them out sometimes.

Appalling. I used to like math, before I took his class. He begins to cover material, and then assigns superbly advanced homework that even the math center has trouble doing. The class itself is boring, and he doesn't track attendence.

I was a Math minor (grad 2001) and took three courses with Prof. Hampton, and I can say he was easily one of the best professors I ever had. His courses were difficult, but if you are interested and willing to work, you can develop a strong understanding of the mathematics, especially helpful for future grad students!

he's clear and understandable in lecture which lulls one into a false sense of understanding which you realize when you take the first of his evil tests. not very friendly but really smart though. do not take this class if you haven't had calc before! do not! especially if you're used to getting A's

Hard, but you learn a lot. Not a lot of people like him as a teacher, but he's alright. Prepared me well for calc in my Econ classes when I got a Master's later on in life! No joke, calculus will follow you, so pay attention!

He made this class harder than it was suppossed to be. Heard the 111 kids are crying too. Dr. Hampton is an awesome professor. With over three decades of math teaching, he surely ranks high up there in terms of his teaching abilities.
