prof. savage is prob one of the best I've had. Explains the material VERY WELL but be prepared to wrk 4 your grade. class is extremely diff, spend A LOT of time studying, office hours are extremely useful he is patient & answers all questions, lab grade helps a lot, do ALL the HW and read the book answr practice prob, make SI a priority.

Everyone tends to be critical of his class, but people forget that chemistry is a hard subject. You must work hard to pull out a good grade. But he definitely is fair. We covered tons of material and I learned alot from him. He's not perfect, but there is no doubt that the students who make it out of his class understand chemistry extremely well

Very hard class! Made a 67, 68, and 52 on the tests but pulled off a C in the class because of the lab. You MUST learn the material or else you WILL fail...guaranteed. Make sure you spend enough time on the lab, it's a lifesaver.

His class is really hard, I took AP chemistry and his class is the only one I am making a B in. If you don't study super hard, you will fail.

He is a good professor who knows what he is talking about. His tests aren't really hard if you know the material. I didn't make good grades at all on my tests 56, 48, 46. Only because I didn't do the Home work. Then I started and the HW was just like the tests. He also passes people who shouldn't I ended don't know what I made on final but got a C

hard class, tests are usually pretty hard, problems on there are perhaps on average harder than the one he does in class as examples. so knowing concepts is very important. its a requirement for engineering students but not the only option you can take CHEM1441&1442..since CHEM1465 is a combination of the two, some rather do that.

larger than life, so lectures are somewhat entertaining. He could do a somewhat better job of re-iterating fundamental concepts. Tests extremely tricky. To succeed you will have to read all the book chapters and work the problems on your own.

He is a very difficult teacher however if you ask questoins after class, practice problems, study the notes, memorize the good stuff, and stop telling yourself this is very hard, then this class won't be too hard. I got a B in his class and felt proud for it. Just study and try hard.. then you will do fine! :)

Do not take his class. He is not even a chemistry major. He is not good at teaching how to solve problems. He just expects you to know how to get to the answer and he doesn't show you the necessary steps. The class ave on every test was a very low 60.

he's a funny guy but thats not what counts on a report card. he sometimes doesnt teach the class whats in the book which is whats on the test. If u can, u SHOULD avoid him b/c of his teaching style, he has MANY jokes but thats not a good thing.
