Well, I hate to say it... But Dr. Lu is the worst professor that I have ever had. His accent is incredibly thick. Not only can I not understand him, but he does not understand me. His communication is horrible. The tests are too difficult for the class. I would not suggest this professor to anyone. Avoid him if possible!!!

He is not well prepared for the class and get nerve when someone ask him. His answers is absolutely no helpful. His grading is not fair at all, if he likes you he will do what ever to give you A, otherwise you will get C. Avoid him if possible

He's by far the toughest professor I've ever had for mathmatics. He does grade fair, but to succeed in his class you MUST do the million assigned problems. His test are very hard, but he doesn't put any surprises on them.

He seems nice and the class isnt that hard, he (believe it or not) trys to make it as easy as possible by skipping existence theorems and occasionally entire sections. He is hard to understand and tends to go off topic. It seems to me that the students that have the most trouble are engineering students who dont truly care about math and want an A

A great guy. Has an accent but still easy to understand. He answers everyones' questions before he goes on with the lecture and is very detailed. The tests aren't super hard, mostly problems you have to work out and he gives lots of partial credit. But if you're looking for a professor that you can get help from out of class then forget it.

Horrible teacher. Had for Diff Eq and for 355. Should have avoided for 355. If you have to take 355 I would reccomend taking Discrete math and Linear Algebra.

i have had an A in every math class til 355. hoping for a D. he avoids every question asked, refuses to work questions, even told a student he was planning on giving a lot of F's.. what teacher plans on givng F's? they are being paid to teach. i would recommoned anyone who has to take this course to avoid him, or take it somewhere else!!

Lu's teaching meathods are a bit ridiculous. He doesnt seem to have a plan. He'll start on one topic then hop to another one (usually on another part of the board) and then bounce back. He has trouble understanding the students questions. And his test questions are a bit over the top. Never what we've disscussed in class. i would avoid him.
