She uses Wikipedia to make her Powerpoint lectures. If you ask her a question that she isn't prepared for, she gets really upset. She's pleasant and fun to be around, but most of the knowledge I learned in her classes came from independent work. If you like having an expert professor to dialogue with, she is not it.

Cindy has a good sense of humor and she's actually very sweet. She can be hard to approach but once you get to know her she warms up a bit. She definitely knows the material, but the powerpoints are horrendously long and time consuming. She covers a lot and expects a lot, but she's fair. I loved her classes, even though they were tough.

Cindy is such a great educator! She is very passionate about the subjects that she teaches and was always there for me when I didn't understand a concept or had a question. I highly recommend her classes! The course work can be difficult at times, but if you work through it you learn a lot! She really knows her stuff and has a great teaching style!

Cindy, didn't have a syllabus for her quarter long 12 credit A&P I and II program - she made it up as she went along. Quizzes were on 3 separate systems at once, with 1 system not completely lectured on yet, and sometimes before we'd done relevant labs. She commented on my low test score in front of the class, because I questioned a poor photocopy

I'm glad I found this website so I can warn people to stay away from her! She is defensive when questioned while being VERY prejudice towards people who don't live what she thinks is the "correct" lifestyle! She "teaches" based on personal opinion. She spent part of one class complaining about her overweight coworkers. Avoid if possible!

bad!!! very bad. she is very very defensive and doesn't like when students know more about the subject than her. she teaches opinions, not facts.

I liked Cindy. She demanded a lot, but it was clear that she just wanted you to work and learn. It seemed that as long as you put in a good amount of effort she was happy. Very informed in her area and helpful too.

I like Cindy and took 3 of her classes. She has little tolerance for people who slack and don't meet standards. She is intense in her work especially A&P and Nutrition. She is passionate about these subjects sometimes forgetting we have other classes. Overall her classes were good. If your a good student then go for it! Take her if you can.

(Anatomy & Physiology) Her lectures provided accessible info to students of all levels, and her lab dissections were directed, but not rigid. I plan to take more classes from her in the future, and highly recommend her to anyone that doesn't really need tons of structure.

She can be sweet, but has a harsh side when she's defensive, and her mastery of the material she teaches does leave something to be desired. Evergreen, with its untraditional methods, may not be the best place for her.

Topics in Nutrition course. I didn't sense as much negativity from her that others here speak about. She has a nice smile & humor. I sensed maybe a countercultural background in her that I could relate to. I did research that corrected her and she was open about it, encouraged me to report result to the class-just what instructors should do!

just awful! she is isolated from her own learning community & resents students with more information and/or experience, even while relying on them as references during lectures that, indeed, she *did* slap together last minute while cutting & pasting from wikipedia (no, she does not know what "vetted" means). DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Cindy is indeed defensive if you question her. She researches online then lectures on what she really doesn't know. She is knowledgeable but fakes a lot. She quotes wikipedia in her lectures but it is not a peer-reviewed site, nor does it carry any merit. I have great hopes of becoming a teacher if she did!!!
