Comment:

One of the worst professor i have ever met in my life. It's very hard to meet her even during office hours and doesn't responds to emails. Bad pronunciation as well not audible during lectures. Hard to get good grades. Not recommended to take her class if you are expecting to gain knowledge.

Super easy project sequence(DB1 & 2) if done with CChen. Database 2 is an easy assignment where you access a database with php to do a handfull of queries.

Hands down worst professor I've ever had. First half of semester she reads off someone else's slides, next half she sits there while you do a project which she gives zero help on. Expects you to learn php, html, and how to develop phone applications in spare time. Speaks close to zero English, and her TA speaks even less and is even less useful.

Very bad. Unclear. Just reads the slides of author. Never clarifies student's questions. Never comes prepared for the class. A professor with 10+ years of experience being taught by a student about Database Optimization & Querry Optimization. Very unacceptable & unprofessional. Anyone can read form slides. Never take any class under her.

Had her for Algorithms. The material was pretty simple if you kept on top of it which I did not. She never really answers a question directly when you ask one. If she starts talking fast you can forget about understanding her but overall it wasn't a horrible class. Pay attention do the hw and you will be all set not much studying needed.

Sometime hard to understand but exam are 100% fair. She will help you prepare for the exam and yes some of the exam question IS EXACTLY the same as those of HW. So make sure you do your HW!

Comment:

A very reasonable, fair, and clear teacher. When students express that they do not understand something, she tries again and again to explain it until they get it. She reviews concisely all of the material that will be on tests. She is from China, and some may complain that they cannot understand her english at times. That aside, she teaches well.
