Dr. Stollhans is fantastic! I had no art experience prior to this class and she was so easy to understand and follow that I received an A easily. She's so nice and helpful, and you don't have much work besides two exams and a paper. Her exams are fair and easy to study for. Attendance is key though, she tests from her lectures.

Comment:

The Domina of the Italian Renaissance. Has forgotten more about saints than you will ever know. The gold standard of professors. Loves her work and it shows. Shows students the same respect they show her. Show up late to class at your own risk.

Pretty easy class. Tests are over pieces discussed in class, one of which is dropped. Only one mandatory paper over an art work in the STL art museum. As long as you go to class, take notes, and study for the test, it's an easy A (just a lot of memorization). Professor Stollhans really knows her stuff and is excited about teaching.

This class is really interesting. You learn lots of info. I did well studying the day before the test. Just to warn you there's lots of notes and slides. I was able to draw the pictures, so I didn't need my book. You can get by w/out purchasing it. 3 tests, non cumulative. group project at the end.
