Comment:

Had her for Honors Intro to Writing, easily the best English professor I've ever had. There's lots of papers, but they were easy and she is a fair grader. If you get a bad grade, you can meet with her and she will help you rewrite it. You can do this over and over again infinitely. Lawrence is also very sweet, funny, and kind. Definitely take.

Easily the best professor I've had at Bloomsburg University. She is very funny and animated, and wonderfully passionate about writing and literary study. She's super real and relatable, at times giving students a break out of empathy by getting rid of assignments and allowing a "mental health day." Having her for 2 classes has inspired me so deeply

I looooooove Dr. Lawrence! I had her for Short Story this semester and I pray I get to take a class with her again. She's an absolute gem. We read a lot, but the material was interesting and the work was usually pretty easy. Dr. Lawrence is so sweet, HILARIOUS, and willing to go the extra mile for her students. She's the coolest prof I've ever had.

Dr. Claire Lawrence is a legend. Funny and caring to her students, she makes her lectures incredibly interesting. Class time flies by. You read a lot, but it's worth it because it's so interesting. If you have any problems, she'll work with you. Honestly ones of my favorite professors. :)

Dr. Lawrence let us re-write any papers that we wanted a better grade on (as many times as we wanted) so if you put in the work it's nearly impossible to get a bad grade in her class! She also gave extra credit for going to events in the community and writing a paragraph about them.

The curriculum was mainly writing projects, blogs, reading quizzes at the beginning of every class, and peer workshops. Overall it was an easy class but you must read a lot of short stories along with the chapters. Lastly, get ready to write a big final reflective paper. Dr. Lawrence was very fun and sweet. Loved this class and would recommend it!

Dr. Lawrence is super kind. If you have any type of question, she will do her best to answer it and give lots of good help. Make sure you ask questions, because sometimes her directions are a little vague. But when you ask her to clarify it helps a lot. Will definitely look for classes with her as the professor!

Dr. Lawrence has a unique character that you wouldn't find in the average professor. She is comical, but serious. She is relatable, but earnest. Not to mention she is a huge philanthropist for nature. As an English major, I can't wait to have her again (if I get the chance). Awesome professor! she is absolutely great. she makes time for her students even if they can't make it to her office hours. she is very flexible. She uses the textbook quite a lot but she really gets you excited about learning how to write and in a whole new way. she makes you want to learn and love to write. take her for any english class. =)

If you need to take foundations of writing, take her! She's a great teacher. She loves what she does and she's willing to help! She isn't a hard grader at all. Got A- on almost all of my assignments. i hate writing and i suck at it. but i got A's on all my papers. shes amazing so nice and REAL. class is fun she goes on tangents all the time. you really dont need to know much info and its easy..its so easy i came out with an A and i NEVER get a's ESPECIALLY in writing courses...TAKE HER FOR AN EASY A. great lady. i cant stress that enough

If you don't get at LEAST an A-/B+ in this class, you put absolutely no effort in. Seriously she lets you resubmit papers and is an easy grader. Such a nice individual, funny and personable. Comment:

Intro to Creative Writing. A fun, general introduction to writing creatively. She keeps a very good balance between what's considered good writing and helping you find your voice, so you don't feel squashed creatively. The short readings help as fairly good examples for the ideas we go over: setting, image, voice, etc. Highly recommended.
