EXTREMELY HARD GRADER! Way, WAY favors the grad students. He wants everyone to come see him after you bomb a paper so he can tell you why. But, he IS very funny and the class is always entertaining. If he doesn't like a remark you say, he tells you to think before you open your mouth and harm the rest of the class. He is average.

Definitely takes getting used to, but a REALLY nice man. I learned SO much from him, especially in terms of understanding poetry. I also think he's hilarious, if not because of what he says, then simply the types of things he says (he called himself and one of his colleages "crazy" in class, and in a very fond sort of way, I'd have to agree).
