The class was pretty ok. As long as you show up and do the minimum you'll be fine. He drops your 3 lowest quizzes and gives plenty of bonus. Reading the book will help and you get bonus for doing the practices, but it ins't necessarily needed. Overall, I learned a good bit, though the lectures can drag.

Unless you have some what of an interest in the subject of Philosophy I do not recommend this class. He doesn't post any grades at all throughout the semester so I was literally crossing my fingers at the end hoping I did well. The material was confusing, boring and very uninteresting. It's not that hard, but definitely not enjoyable.

The first day of class he offered a twenty extra credit points, he drops 3 of your worst quizzes, and announces all of the quizzes beforehand. This class can be really boring because it's a philosophy course, but you can tell he tries to keep the class engaged. He makes a lot of jokes and tells a lot of stories. He cares about his students a lot

I would not recommend this introduction class to anyone. It's based solely on philosophy, and if you're someone like me that doesn't understand it even when you study, this isn't the class for you. The professor LOVES philosophy and only lectures, which doesn't help you to learn it or pass the class.

Taught the material somewhat well but the class itself was very unorganized. Did not manage time in class well enough. Spent too much time answering questions from homework and quizzes, which did not leave enough time to fully teach the material. Was not always accessible after class.

This man's voice and lectures are very boring. I never listen to what he says in class. He gives 5 quizzes and drops the lowest 3 and he gives you 3 exams. He gives you the opportunity to go into office hours to correct your quiz. I got a 12 out of 20 on one and I just listened to him talk for 20 minutes in his office and he gave me a 20/20

The rest of these reviews seem to be more focused on bad grades rather than Mr. Uher himself. He is an amazing professor and one of the few that genuinely cares about his students' education. He's hilarious and structures the class so that it is difficult to fail. I genuinely wish KSU had more profs like Professor Uher.

He is the most boring teacher I've taken. He cares about the subject but he expects you to understand it like the back of your hand when it's actually really hard to understand. Would never tell anyone to take this class.

Try this class if you need a kent core math credit. He will personally work with you to help understand the material. Very accessible office hours. Take it in the summer, it's quicker and easier. He's boring but I don't expect formal logic to be entertaining. Use the CD, he loans out textbooks in the summer. He tells you exactly what's on the test.

A lot of students consider him "boring", but I think it's because of his tone of voice. He just speaks in a dry tone, and you have to be mindful of what he's saying; it's easy to tune out. But if you listen, it's not hard to understand the lectures. Extra credit opportunities. Nice, fair guy. Old-fashioned in terms of phones, etc. Get the book imo.

Professor Uher is by far the most dullest, most boring human being on earth. His lectures are SO long and honestly if you look up at the clock during class, you may cry that only one minute has gone by since you last checked. Gives 8 quizzes, but drops the lowest 3 so that is great. DO the extra credit assignment on the first day, and go to class!

Uher's class was very long and boring, which made it extremely hard to pay attention. All notes are provided online. Two exams are hard so study a lot for those. Multiple tests are also hard, although three lowest scores are dropped. One extra credit provided at the beginning of the year, do it! Pay attention, ask questions, and study!!!

He was very helpful and willing to answer any questions you have as long as you take the time to go to his office hours. His lectures are long, but as long as you understand the main points of the material, you'll be fine for the exams. Quizzes are harder than exams, but he drops the three lowest quiz grades out of eight.

If you're not interested in this field, do not take the class. If you do however enjoy the field, this class is enjoyable. He is a great professor and knows what he's talking about. His lectures are supplemented by witty jokes, and he is always there to help. Quizzes are tough, but you can drop the lowest 3. Probably the nicest professor I've had.

Prof Uher is nice, however he is very disorganized when it comes to what is expected. We do not stick to the syllabus and his class is so boring. Do not take this class unless you want an hour and 15 mins of doing nothing but drooling. He drops the 3 lowest quiz grades and posts notes online which is nice but the material is boring.

If you have insomnia I highly recommend that you take Doctor Uher's Intro to Ethics class. He is without a doubt the most dull professor I've ever had. Attendance is mandatory, miss more than two and your grade drops a letter. Do the extra credit, material can be kinda tough. His notes are unhelpful, 8 quizzes and drops lowest 3. Tends to drone on.

Professor Uher did a good job teaching Ethics. He makes the topics easy to understand and assists with the difficulty of the text that is read. Easy class, finished with an A. Can't skip class. Be prepared for seemingly long lectures.

Professor Uher is very knowledgeable of the topics he covers in class. Critical Thinking was a good course and he goes pretty in-depth with every concept. Lectures can seem to endlessly drag on, but the course is very easy if you are good at reasoning through things. Gives extra credit, I had over 100% in the class at the end of the semester.

He doesn't know to teach. Plain and simple. He says um every other second. 331 in one class to be specific. Would never take him again. His grading varies from essay to essay on exams and doesn't know how to explain anything. Good luck if you take him. He blows ass
