I took Intro to Sociology with Dr Hudspeth and I couldn't wait to go to another class. I needed an elective and signed up for the class without much enthusiasm but it turned out to be one of the best classes I have taken. Dr Hudspeth enjoys participation and uses everyday situations that make the material easy for everyone to understand.

If you are a sociology major then you will get a good grade if you try. I am not an SY major and I tried very hard and I got a C. He said that I didn't participate in class. I didn't miss a single day. Several other non-SY majors who also did well on tests also made C's.

Mr. Hudspeth is a wonderful teacher. His tests come directly from the notes and the highlighted portions of our book. He does get off the subject sometimes, but this is what makes sociology what it is...fun!

Had him before... still think he's great! Makes Symbolic Interaction theory understandable and useable. It's a tough course, but he works hard to make sure students get a good grade if they work with him. Plus, he's just a plain nice guy!

Great Professor! Makes Sociology interesting and enjoyable. Challenges you to think for yourself. He even tells you he doesn't expect you to think what he thinks or believe what he believes. If you follow his instructions, making a really good grade is easy. Plus he bends over backward to help students who are having trouble. I'll take him again!

Dr. Hudspeth is an exceptional teacher. He often relates to his own life (he hasn't always been a professor), which helped me see things in a "real life" scenario instead of by the book. I learned something new every single day in class and loved it. Also, he is willing to bend over backwards if anyone ever needs any help.
