Dr. Zlotchew was a wonderful professor who is passionate about culture, traveling, and the spanish language. He cares about his students and always encourages class discussion. He focuses on reading and discussion, barely any use of computer/projector/internet.

Dr. Zlotchew is one of the best professors I had in my entire college. I came from a Spanish background and his Spanish is totally different from mine. Although I learned a lot from him and his charismatic is beyond of great comparing from the rest of professors. It makes me sad that he is retiring but at least I can say that he will miss.!!

Dr. Zlotchew I see one of the best professors I've ever had the honor of having class with. He would tell stories about his experiences (he's been to pretty much every country) and he's so knowledgeable. As long as you do the work for his classes, you'll get a good grade. And he's such a sweetheart, all in all, he's really fantastic.

Literally THE worst class I have ever taken. I made a conscious effort to work hard and answer his stupid, ridiculous questions, but he's nothing but nasty. The, when you withdraw from speaking in class because he makes you feel like an idiot, he complains about lack of participation. I'm changing my major because of this terrible teacher.

Don't take conversation with him!! He often puts you on the spot and makes you feel stupid! Take the class if you feel you're awesome at Spanish (or if you feel he's your favorite, as he plays favorites a lot) As knowledgeable as he is with Spanish, he's an awful teacher & really cocky.

Knows SO MUCH about Spanish and he likes to tell stories of all of his travels. You have to go to him to get your grade but that being said, I don't know where my grade comes from, seems like a random number. DO NOT READ LINES-its a conversation class. Put some effort in, ask lots of questions and you will do fine.

He was horrible. He doesn't pick favorites but if he doesn't like you, you'll know it and so will every one else in the class. Don't even dare try to redeem yourself by meeting him out of class, he won't change his mind. The only way we knew our grades was if we went to visit him during his office hours. He's a jerk.

Amazing professor! Took a Latin American Lit class with him and he was fantastic at helping both those of us who were learning Spanish and those who already spoke the language fluently and were just taking the course for an A. Any language course would be worth taking with this man!!!
