He knows his stuff and he is kind and helpful. This course is mostly about social, political and cultural significance of films, a topic of seemingly life time interest to professor Mackey. Definitely a good choice for an introductory level course especially as he takes it easy with students.

Borrrrrrrrrrrring! Not so much a film class as the preacy rantings of the Gospel According to Clark. Mackey puts a conspiracy theorist spin on all aspects of the media, blaming corporations for everything under the sun in a fashion so laughable he makes me want to do all my shopping at Wal-Mart and Starbucks.
