Professor Floyd was an awesome history teacher. I learned a lot about women history. Her class lectures were very interesting and engaging. I enjoyed her class. The writing assignments were a little difficult because she likes good grammar, but she's a great professor when it comes to quality.

She is an awful teacher, not clear tests and quizzes are random. Picks fave students in class and grades you on you not your work. I asked for help and she didn't answer my questions. She starts class early and plays movies at 8am. The final she gave a study guide with69 terms and still on the final there were names I didnt know. Shes horrible!!!!

Professor talks alot, and expects you to know everything she is already talking about. If no interest in history, DO NOT TAKE. Hard grading, and very picky. Barely passed, and will never take again. Watches videos at 8am...NOT GOOD.

Avoid!! I read the entire text and understood the concepts of the course but her grading policy sucks. I was absent with the flu and turned in an assignment late with a doctors not and she would not give full credit. The grades she gives appear to be random and uncohesive. She will ruin your gpa.

She's very passionate about history. Overall I enjoyed her class but the quizzes were definitely hard, make sure you take good notes and read the book carefully. The answers are combination of what you read and learned in class. She does give curves to them though. Don't take it if you don't do well with this kind of teaching you will struggle

This was an easy class if you attended and took notes. The tests were open answers, but she didn't grade harsh. Homework due first class once a week, but you don't even really have to read the text. No papers, no quizzes, just lecture. Sometimes boring, but EASY. This is a good class for the non-history major looking to fill a humanities credit.

Very solid teacher. Makes classes very interesting by encouraging class participation. Definitely knows her stuff when it comes to history. Not extremely hard if you attend class and take good notes. Always willing to meet with students who need extra help.

Loved the class. I love that period of History. However, I was not prepared for the level of detail required on the first exam and got a B. Very solid on due dates and tardiness. A bit liberal, but that did not come up in Civil War as much. It was my own fault I ended up with a B in the class.

Okay, I've never had her for a class bassed on opinions but as a straight up history teacher she knows her stuff above and beyond. Civil War and U.S. Women's History were some of the best classes I took at Villa Julie, yes her tests are hard but if you study you can get an A. You must love history inorder to pass her classes.

Grades and tests very unfairly. Regularly cuts off students who disagree with her, even when she asks for opinions. Expects students to memorize her lectures, and barely references the text. Forces extreme liberal views upon students. If you can avoid taking her, don't!

The least clear professor I have ever had. She forces her own political views on students, and shows no respect for opinions she doesn't agree with. Cuts people off in class, and is far too vocal and insistant that her own left-wing views are the only way to go. I am a democrat and she takes it too far for me. Tests are unfair, she expects students to write down every word she says and tests only sparingly on the text. If you don't have to take her class, then don't.

Complete WEIRDO. Skips around a lot! Do not even ATTEMPT to go to the bathroom in class, she will make a fool of you. And coming in late is completely unexcusable. I wouldn't recommend taking her unless you have a very strong bladder and plan to teach yourself a lot of the material!

Worst teacher I've ever had. Doesn't grade on clarity of opinion, just whether she likes your opinion. If you're not radicaly left don't take the class. Makes up info and can't support it but she thinks she is always right. Any info you produce she will tell you is wrong(even if it's reliable a source) Stay away if you have an original thought!
