Had for both ACC 301 & 302.. I missed class ATLEAST once a week, never did the homework, and the guy hated me, obviously. he sucks at teaching but as long as you read the text book before the test and "study" the hw problems you'll pass. and fyi, the solution manuals to the hw problems are in the library for anyone to "study" aka, copy

Had him for 301 and 302. As said before completion of the homework is a must. Tests require a fair amount of studying, but test problems are often intentionally easier than homework problems. He comes off as intimidating to most people, but he's a pretty decent guy to talk to most of the time, in my experience.

He says the first day of class, "Come to class and do the homework and you'll do fine." These people with the bad comments are the ones who didn't do one of the two. Yes the class is still hard if you do those two. I got a B- and will always choose him over another professor.

I have to agree with the comment right before mine. He wants all his students to do well b/c he doesn't want idiots becoming accountants. And if you are taking this class, you are an ACC major...so if you don't do the work, you deserve to be embarrassed. If you don't understand the work, switch majors. Either way I will be happy stealing your job!!

He is a good professor that cares a great deal about all of his students. Does try to shame students into studying, which is amusing, but embarrassing as well. He wants the best for his students and gets very frustrated when he detects a lack of effort. If he yells, it's for a reason. Listen to him and you will do well.

good professor because he knows the material extremely well. he expects the students to have read material and understand during classes. read EVERY chapter and do EVERY hw assignment and you'll get an A or B. and it doesnt hurt to get a big time internship, he'll give you more respect.

his method of teaching is you showing up to class, having read the chapter and completed all homework assignments for that chapter. he reviews selected homeworks from the chapter and collects others without notification. he doesnt teach the material beforehand so if you cant teach yourself your done. not helpful at all! i would not recommend him

Avoid this guy if you can. Rather than teaching and using the textbook as a suppliment, he expects you to teach yourself, and then just goes over home work in class. Demeans students who don't understand, and picks his favorites out of the class. unclear on concepts. Favorite phrase is "It's just so logical!". tells pointless stories about himself

Prof Galbraith takes a very personal interest in his students' sucess. He will get on your case if you slack-off, but will bend over backwards to get you recognition if you work hard. Don't take it personally if he yells at you - he even yells at students that he 'likes'. Try to listen to what he is saying, he might have a valid point. Good prof!

Galbraith is an arrogant and harsh man but he has the best intentions. If you expect to take his classes without putting in some study time then accounting is not for you. I just graduated and I can now truly say thank you for not making class easy because now I am prepared for the accounting world.

best professor on campus. cares tremendously for students, wants you to succeed.. come to class, do your homework, and study. if you ever have questions, ask him and you will do great in the class. he is so enthusiastic about the subject matter, it makes class interesting. also, has the funniest stories.
