Professor Kahl knows his stuff when it comes to the Middle East and Terrorism. One of the most intelligent profs I have had, however he expects a ton of reading. Really interesting topic and the videos help with the fact that night classes are long.

Professor Kahl is refreshing, he has a well-tuned perspective on international relations, and keeps his students engaged. Lectures were fascinating, and the readings were very interesting. I would love to take another class with Prof. Kahl. He is a bit intimidating, and I wish I had felt more comfortable participating in class.

a really interesting class, good lectures.. he's funny and interesting, and the only teacher i've had to show clips of the daily show! does a good job relating the material to current events as well. He's kinda cocky and intimidating.. i wouldn't want to outwardly disagree with him in class, but overall a great class.

Trick to getting a good grade: Do exactly what he asks on the assignment. It is relatively easy if you stay on track. Kahl is cool, but smug. I don't think I would really want to go get a drink with him after class.

Awsome teacher, when he gets back next Jan. take the next class offered. His classes may have a lot of reading and material that you have to know but he's really interesting and you learn a lot. Plus he adds humor into some of the normally dry material of poli sci.
