Dr Reilly is a wonderful professor. She cares a lot and gives great feedback on everything. Shes also funny and brilliant so the class is pretty bearable for a non-writer. She doesnt grade on attendance and gives extra credit assignments.

Colleen is the best! She's understanding, cool, and gives you revisions on every project. Attendance is not mandatory so you never have to go and you'll still do great. Definitely would reccommend!!!

Her editing class seriously hones your attention to grammar and sentence structure, and as such I would recommend taking it even if you have no interest in proofreading or copyediting. No subjective "participation" grades (which is nice). Answers questions very precisely compared to other professors who have open-ended answers to grammatical issues

Comment:

Really didn't like her or her lectures. She is incredibly condescending, and really addresses nothing you need to know. She expects you to teach yourself. However, if you follow all the directions in assignments, she is a super easy grader. Got an A after skipping tons of classes and didn't take the optional final.

She will help you to no end to do better. She loves teaching people and gets visibly excited when she sees her students get engaged and learning. She will help you so much on writing better and pursuing whatever it is you're looking for. If you want a rewarding class and learning experience, I highly recommend her.

She's a good professor, though she lets politics slip into the classroom at times. She is a hardcore editor and will mark up your papers, but it makes for better writing. She accepts late work and offers extra credit, but her turn-arounds are very quick: about a week and a half on average to write most papers. Good luck.

She is goofy but in a good way. Attendance isn't really mandatory but why wouldn't you go? Sometimes we do fun little exercises on the computer, but that's it for classwork. She's very laid back, smart, and a nice person. If you address everything she asks for in a project you will get an A. Don't leave anything out.

Dr.Reilly assigns a LOT of work but there were no tests and the quizzes are all true/false. She is VERY LIBERAL and even though I'm pretty conservative I really liked her. I learned A LOT from the class and my writing improved a TON! She is a very intelligent lady and gives very clear instructions and grading policies.

Dr. Reilly is nice. I have talked with her on several occasions outside of the classroom and she seemed approachable. But in class, she is horrible. She is very unclear, gives no instruction and has no problem failing you as a result of her bad instruction. I would discourage anybody from taking a class with her.

I've taken many classes with Dr. R and I can say with confidence-DO NOT TAKE HER. It simply isn't worth it. She grades too hard and seems to ENJOY making students miserable. I hate when students whine about workloads because we're in college and we should work. But she's insane. Unreal expectations, boring lectures- save yourself.

seems pretty disinterested and condescending. I went to try to get help from her and she just told me I should already know the stuff and seemed really annoyed to have me there. She says she's really busy, but it takes her like a month to get grades back. Kind of conceited too. I dunno, her teaching style may just not work for me.

I have never in my whole life seen a more pointless class. Your essays could be spotless but if she didn't like your visual selection you failed. I thought the class about being able to write in an informative and intersting manner, not blogging and finding pictures online.

Great professor. I really like her, but not the class so much. I thought there would be more writing, but its more about using technology, designing and critiquing websites and working in the MOO. Dr. R is helpful and fun, as well as knowledgable, but the book makes me want to poke my eyes out.

Loves wine! I never understood why we had exams for a document design class. We only had to create two documents the entire semester for a grade. Reading materials are very boring. Interesting class if you like desktop publishing.
