She is a great professor & really cares about her students! She explained the information well & makes it easy to understand. However, your grade is mostly based off of 4 exams & 1 final, there is only one other assignment that is worth very little. Attendance is not mandatory, but make sure you go or you will not understand the information!

she is an amazing professor but not much help with concern for grades. she does not reveal your grades at all through the semester and moves quickly. she does tell you every detail of what will be on tests and she tells you exactly what to do to prepare but thats on you and you must print everything for the class to understand whats going on

She is so enthusiastic and gives very clear and comprehensive lecture notes but your grade is primarily based on test performance, only 9% of your grade is composed of other assignments. If you skip, you will be very confused, but an A is attainable if you put in the work. You have to redo all of her handouts to study for/ pass her tests.

The reason I fell back in love with math. she really cares about her students. she adds worksheets/ reviews and does many problems in class, so that you don't have to buy the textbook. She may ramble sometimes but its for a reason or trying to help students. Only 4 tests, one hw assignment (SPSS), and final. Easy test grader.

Math is not my thing, and I am SO glad I chose to take Professor Watson for 220. She knows the content so well she can actually anticipate where and when we will make mistakes on each topic. In addition, she is so personable that I always felt comfortable asking for help. It's still math, but her clear and concise style makes all the difference!

Professor Watson was a great professor. She's lecture heavy but they are good lectures and she explains her answers to questions very clearly. Go to class and you wont need the textbook. DO ALL HER WORKSHEETS. possibly more than once and you'll get high A's on all the tests. 4 tests, spss homework (which is really easy), and a final. great class.

This woman restored my hope in JMU's math department. She is very helpful in and outside of class. Stats is hard, so obviously you gotta work for it, but she tries to make it as easy as possible. Four tests and a final, you can get out of the final if you get strong A's on the four tests though. SHOW UP TO CLASS, DO THE HOMEWORK, and you'll pass.

I thought the tests were kinda hard. I took AP Stats in high school in a semester so I basically took the same course before. For the first few tests you need to understand stats without a calculator. She does go at a VERY fast pace. She is VERY picky on what she wants on tests. If its not her way, its your grade on the highway!

Loooooove Professor Watson. She rambles but it is for a purpose. She is not a hard grader as long as you listen to what she says will be on the test. Textbook is for extra practice but her handouts are super useful and exactly what you will see on her test. Used to hate math but she made me enjoy it!

As a freshman who had just aced AP Stats my last year of high school, I thought Watson's class would not have been much different. Boy, was I wrong! Per Watson's suggestion, I had to withdraw from the class. She is very sweet and very caring, but her teaching style was way too fast-paced for me, and her grading was very knit-picky.

I love professor Watson as a person, she was very sweet and cares about you but she was hard. your grade is based off of 4 tests and a final and a very small percent is an SPSS homework. She tries to explain as best she can but she is very very picky on tests and if you're not great at math, it's hard to get good grades. no textbook though!

Watson is an INCREDIBLE professor. Doesn't require you to buy the textbook, gives you worksheets to complete before each test (just for your own practice, not homework). Practice those worksheets and you'll be golden. She's not the easiest, but she's extremely helpful and it's totally capable to get a great grade in the class. 10/10 recommend!!!

Dr. Watson is a sweet woman, however, she is the toughest grader I have ever had! She is SO picky about test answers and I've taken statistics before and I still failed the first test!! Would not recommend if you have never taken statistics before!

Colleen is a brilliant professor and her lectures are entertaining but the class is pretty tough and it is very hard to get a good grade especially if you do not test well. Your grade is based solely on 5 test and 3 SPSS assignments.

Professor Watson is the best. She gives so much partial credit on tests and hardly takes off points. She really cares about her students and will explain concepts multiple ways if a student doesn't understand. She is the mom everyone wishes they had, super caring and knowledgeable. Easy class.

Professor Watson really wants you to succeed. I actually enjoy her class more than any other math I've taken. She packs a lot into one class and goes a little quickly, but is very very helpful. Her tests are difficult but she curves them if need be. She's a very sweet person and I would definitely recommend her.

LOVE her. She is such a great professor. If you took stats in high school you will be totally fine. If not, she is really good at dumbing down math and making it easy to understand. DO ALL THE HANDOUTS, listen to her and do them all multiple times before tests and you'll do great!

Although attendance isn't always required, it is needed if you want to do well. I loved Colleen because she made math really accessible for people like me who are awful at it. Her lectures are so clear and the tests get easier throughout the semester. Definitely the best choice as far as MATH 220 is concerned!!

DR WASTON IS THE BOMB. Take this class. She makes stats easy and is an extremely good teacher. She's also entertaining and it's oddly comforting just to listen to her talk. There's four test and a cumulative final and one HW. Anyway, she's the best, if you have to take stats, take it with her.

Dr. Watson is an absolutely amazing professor and I am so glad I took statistics with her. I wouldn't necessarily say it is an "easy A," but if you put in the time, go to class everyday, and study for tests you should get an A! Dr. Watson is very helpful and she is very passionate about math.
