Ms. Pryor is absolutely wonderful, not just as a teacher, but as a writer and friend. Even as an English major, I'm happy I took the "intro" class. It helped me become a disciplined and focused writer; even in grad school I thought back to the fundamentals that Connie taught me. It's a class that sticks with you, and a professor who cares.

Kind and helpful, Professor Pryor gave a great introduction to college English and, especially, to MLA! She answered my questions thoroughly, responded to emails, and helped me to improve in areas where I was weak in MLA.

She was a great freshman English teacher. My writing improved so much from taking her class and all the extra time she took to help her students improve. The books she picked for class were interesting to read. The peer reviews and emphasis on proper grammar were extremely helpful and important for use in the real world.

She's much more than an English teacher! She introduced us to college-level writing, grammar, the best ways to approach post-secondary education, and was extremely supportive in the process! She also went far out of her way to introduce us to all of our college opportunities, even study abroad! Fantastic teacher and a wonderful woman!

Regardless of class context & title, this is a great class for those new to college English. It gave me a great foundation for college writing. 3 weeks into my freshman year I was in the hospital for a week and she dropped off work for me to do to make up for lost class time. When I got back to school she gave me time to complete assignments.

Good professor, easy A if you do all the work. Very responsive feedback, sometimes even cancels class for student conferences. Class can be boring sometimes, and don't even think about turning in anything late. I had an issue with that and she wasn't very understanding. Other than that, you should be fine.

Professor Pryor was GREAT. Super nice, super helpful. She does focus on details but it is meant to improve writing and it definitely helped mine. I would take her class anytime. She cares about her students. She also does alternative things like having outside speakers come in, etc. I really enjoyed having her as a professor.

I know she means well, but she is meant to teach elementary school. Class drags on and she spends most of here time on grammar that you should know (comma usage, prepositional phrases, etc..)

She's an idiot. She spent our whole semester teaching us grammar THAT WE ALL LEARNED IN ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL!!! My classmates and I all met up to talk about it and the majority of us were upset that we wasted our money taking a class that was just a waste of time. Two thumbs way down for her. (sorry bout the spelling error in my comment below)

She goes only by the book. She has obvious favorites. She's air headed. She's a decent if not eccentric person but she stinks as a teacher. And if you don't go with her opinions or don't suck up to her you're doomed. Her work is easy, time consuming, pointless, and petty.

She was so nice and so friendly. A little scatterbrained though, but she was always willing to help and her door was always open. An easy grader, low work load, group discussions were nice and we watched some short films. My favorite class!

Extremely annoying. Although she does give Fridays off, it's not because she's nice, it's because she gives you TONS of work. Her work is anything but interesting. It is extremely time consuming and you will not be reminded about it. She is pretty air-headed and like the last guy said, she gives the slower people more sympathy. She is NOT fair.

Needs to get her head checked. Lets some students hand in papers later than others if they are retarted. Grading is far from fair and makes you read boring books.

Very nice lady, she gives every friday off. Sometimes it feels like your in middle school again, she has set ways that she likes everything done. No tests, grade is based off the papers you write off books. Overall, an easy professor, strongly recommended for freshmen.

She'd be better suited to teach middle or high school...nice lady, though. She bears a strong resemblance to Lynda Carter ("Wonder Woman")!
