I personally love Connie. She's really helped with my art and she really pushes me to a new level. It's not an easy class, but it's definitely worth it. Oh, don't take drawing if you aren't an art major, you'll just be overly stressed...

Connie is the only art teacher at IWU who actually teaches at a college level. She expects hard work and gives a great deal of input. Yes, much of it is highly critical, but that's the only way to grow as an artist. People with tender egos should go somewhere else to cry. You're not artist material.

Connie is extraordinarily talented, and expects the best from her students. Though she is very tough, and highly critical, she will teach you how to draw. When a teacher can get almost the entire class to become good drawers, when almost everyone is pretty awful in the beginning, it says a lot. She might eat your soul, but you'll learn to draw.

WOW...so connie is..well, connie. She's a really unique, nice person once you get to know her, but she's an awful professor. She rarely offers help, and is in the room for maybe 20 minutes of the 3 hour long class. She's not afraid to speak her mind, even if her advice makes no sense at all. Interesting lady, great artist, not so good teacher..

Connie has a lot of talent, which gives her credibility. Things have to be her way, but it's beneficial in the long run; she can break you of bad drawing habits and she can make you think about art in new ways. TOUGH LOVE is what Connie's all about.

Connie helps you, but then contradicts herself, and won't let you know how you're doing in the class. Her dog is the best thing about her. Non-majors have a difficult time. But her attire will make you laugh, at least!

Connie can be fun, especially when she brings her german shepard to class! She however, is unclear in instructions and expects too much of non-art majors. No one received an A from non majors. Give her what she wants... not what you think is good. Careful
