Comment:

I had him for Bio of Cancer, and he was one of the most intelligent professors I've ever had. Rather than straight lecture, he likes to use class discussion to lead everyone to the take-home point. His test involve more application of information than memorization, so make sure you show up to class rather than get the Powerpoints later.

He's fantastic! Yes he's hard, but he's the best teacher I had in this or my 2 subsequent degree programs! He teaches you A, B and C, and tests you on F, so make sure you learn not only the info, but how to apply it. He's worth it, I took every single class he taught!

I love Prof. Almeida. His class was hard but interesting and he's really good at explaining everything. You will understand the subject if you go to class everyday, take good notes, and go to ask him for help, but the test are nof easy, you really need to understand the material and even then it's hard to get an A. You will not regret taking it!

He is very intelligent and gives excellent lectures. However, his tests and quizzes are ridiculously hard, so you really need to study for them. Cell Biology is definitely NOT an easy A.

Everyone scared me going into this class but I ended up loving it...very difficult tests (lots of application!) ...pushes you hard and expects you to fight back. Willing to spend hours working with you to help you succeed. Wants the best for his students. Great professor, great class.

Prof. Almeida had one of the most interesting classes that I think I will ever take. Impossible to miss class if you plan on succeeding. Tests are written based on the lecture and notes, and are extremely difficult and tricky.

Great teacher! Very helpful, honestly wants you to learn bio! Very animated, usually pretty easy to stay awake. Tests are pretty hard, but if you put alot of effort in, you'll do fine. And as a bonus, he's easy on the eyes.
