Comment:

Professor Hill is, in a word, awesome. He has a wealth of insight regarding key theological ideas and principles, and explains topics thoroughly and clearly. He is also funny and extremely kind, so it's easy to pay attention. Very little homework, only 2 (not difficult) tests. Overall a really friendly guy; I would definitely recommend Hill!

It was a pleasure being in Prof Hill's class. He explains topics with NO bias then tells you which side he is on after if you ask. Only 2 papers and two scripture memory test plus cohort groups. My favorite theology teacher so far. Definitely take him

I absolutely loved him! He was awkward in this really endearing way, and I could tell that he really cared about us and loved what he was teaching. The subject was dry, and he did his best to make it somewhat interesting. Take him!

He has a lot of knowledge but his lectures and his sense of humor were a bit dry. If you take notes directly from his powerpoints and his side-notes then you're pretty much set. Trying to contact him outside of class is virtually hopeless.

Comment:

Hill is just as knowledgable as some of the more well-known Theology faculty at Biola but his class is simpler. His lecture--even though it is 3 hours--is easy to listen to and actually funny at times. Would definitely recommend his class to people who are looking to learn an amazing amount about Scripture without the extreme workload.

Dr. Hill is an epic professor. His lectures are interesting and full of humor. His style is different from others I've taken. I definitely look forward to class. I don't usually talk in class, but he keeps his class casual so I am totally comfortable talking. I like the assignments and now adore OT wisdom lit. He relates to the class well.

AMAZING PROF! I think the best Bible Prof I've had @ Biola! I don't believe he is a well know Prof at Biola but I'm sure that soon he will be! Hill made me even more hungry for the Word and he is just inspiring. Definitely knows his material. Encouraging & his class gives you hope! Funny guy and definitely lightens up the mood, not bad for an 8am!

Probably the best professor in the Bible department. Why? He's knows his stuff and knows when he doesn't know the answer. He challenges traditions and tells people to think for themselves. It's great. Also, very fun and for the most part, unbiased in class. Everyone should take him for theology classes so they don't have to suffer through it.

He made the class.... very personable and all around great guy! unfortunately, the class was not structured well, but that wasn't his fault. the writing assignments are due on the last class making feedback too late to make any corrections. He knows the Bible! a "New testament" guy as he calls himself!
