Comment:
I took Dr. Craig Jensen for phy201 and I somehow managed a B, The tests are extremely hard. 10 multiple questions and 10 solve the problem, however the questions are not like homework. I took him for phy 202, I ended up dropping the class after failing the first exam even though I studied like crazy. DON'T TAKE HIM.

Absolutely do not recommend this teacher, especially not for online classes. He does not teach anything at all, you're expected to read the book and figure the course work out on your own. He is extremely condescending when he grades, leaving nasty comments about how you clearly don't understand, without actually doing his job and helping you.

Instructor was sometimes disrespectful. Instructor refused access to other students. Exam dates and material changed multiple times. HW for new material due on the same date as exams for older material. 2 HWs often due in same week. Formulas provided for exams often had erroneous, duplicate, or irrelevant equations. Instructor NOT recommended.

I would not recommend this professor to anybody. For his online class, you are literally teaching yourself because he does not teach at all. He is a very harsh grader and his tests are nothing like the homework or labs. Does not drop any work and won't give extra credit. He is not a helpful teacher and he doesn't seem to care about his students.

Jenson is aweful. I cant say he is a bad teacher because he didnt teach at all. His lazy ass didnt do anything all semester. Youre on your own for tests and hw so good luck. I feel ripped off for taking this class through ELI. The best chance you have on the tests is to grab your ankles.

Avoid this professor, unless you want to fail a class. EXTREMELY harsh grader, condescending to students, & his syllabus says No exam, lab, or HW grades will be dropped. You must master ALL of the material that is covered. He literally means ALL and will test you. Exams are NOT like the labs or HW. HWlabs 40% of grade, 4 exam60%. Tough exams.

Were in 3rd week of classes, Im preparing complaint letter to NVCC already. Professor is extremely rude & condescending to students, doesnt help , his labs & exams have missing information and he will blame YOU for not being able to figure out the information he forgot to enter. He is an old professor and doesnt care about students. AVOID AVOID

When you enroll in a class are you expecting to be taught? You won't get that with this professor no matter what the tuition is. What you will get is treatment as if you were a high school kid, and tests meant to stump you. You will not get lectures from him. You will get practice exams with incorrect answers, almost no resourses. Think twice!

Responds quickly but is not helpful in his response. This is a frequent phrase from him "I am Sorry but...." He will not teach, he will only test you. He does not appear concerned for your academic progress. I learned a lot in his class but not from him. I believe I would have learned more with a dedicated professor.

He grades tests. Does not teach at all. Relies on Youtube videos and textbook to teach students. Never gives a direct answer to question either. He only drops hints so you have to go back and forth via emails until maybe a week later you'll have either just googled it or he would have somewhat answered your question. Rediculous.

I would not recommend taking his class unless you can dedicate all of your time to it. My grades suffered greatly because of his class. No extra credit, homework due every week for every chapter and sometimes 2 chapters in 1 week. You have lab work every 2 weeks. LOTS of reading required each week. Exams are 60% of your grade.

took this class online. Homework does not match the exams. Very confused to expect what will be included in the exam. Basically you need to learn everything by reading the book by yourself.

Entirely textbook and videos of OTHER people teaching. Had online collabs w/ him to clarify, I was the only person who went, and got kicked out of 1 on 1 for not understanding. Homework doesnt match the tests. Focusing on not failing here made me do bad in other classes. Wish I had taken a random class to keep the credits and not take this teacher.

WORST class ever! Instructor is not helpful at all. Unfair grading (doesn't give reasonable explanation why he graded such way...duh..) Doesn't care whether students understand the subject or not. Won't recommend to anybody, even to my worst enemy!

Worst class I have ever taken. I attend a prestigious university at another location and decided to take the ELI course. There are 0 lessons, the textbook is useless, and all he ever says is to cite the textbook so there is no way to learn the information. Complete waste of money.

Mr. Jensen is the worst PHYs proffessor. He may know physics. But does not how to teach or even convey a simple idea. His traching techniques require YOU to teach yourself. He lacks of communication skills and is very very rude. He does not care about the students. He will fail you regardless. DO NOT TAKE classes with him.

Unlike most professors, Dr. Jensen does not assume you will fail. Everyone is able to get an A+ because grades are based on how well you understand the material, not on how poorly the rest of the class does. He has extensive experience and he is highly skilled at communicating super-complex concepts in an easy-to-understand way. AWESOME PROFESSOR!

I can agree that Prof. Jensen is not an easy grader; however, he is very helpful. The workload is what you should expect from 5 credits. Exams are very easy IF YOU LEARN for them; in addition, he provides practice exams, which are very close to what you get on exams. Homework is a joke. Labs are very interesting and not hard, but not easy also.

I am a straight A student with a GPA of 3.95 before I took this class. I took his PSY 201 online. The exam and homework are hard. I was struggling. I made an appointment with him try to clarify my confusion on some subject, but I was even more confusion after his explaination. I have to withdraw from this class finally. Very frustrated experience.
