Comment:
Bad professor - nice guy but not the best teacher. Often confuses himself with his own calculations which confuses his students even more. His entire lectures are straight from the textbook (which isn't a terrible thing) but doesn't further explain things.

He seems very confused and bored every time he lectures. He's not a bad person but he is a horrible teacher. He shouldn't be teaching at all. Do NOT take class with him.

Comment:
He lectures as if he is extremely bored or has no idea what he is talking about because he is basically reading from the textbook. You may as well read the book yourself and avoid the hassle of going to class. His tone of voice is very rude which makes class extremely unenjoyable.

Comment:
Rude and condescending. Taught directly from textbook, even his slides and examples were provided by the textbook he was using. Lectures are long and dry, prof lectures at the students and does not engage them. Went in for office hours several times and treated me like I was wasting his time. He clearly did not care about this class.

What he teaches is very simple and easy to understand though he makes it difficult, but his tests get you the questions are full of mistakes and about 50% make absolutely no sense its as if he just stopped halfway through making the question...

Comment:
Narcissistic. Unorganized. Slams desk if irritated. Class/slides = no flow. Going to class is as useful as watching a tree grow. Exams are unfair. Even if you study everything, there are open book/fill in the blanks (which would seem decent), but a question would consist of "the X is X thus X" .. TERRIBLE class! Wait until someone else teaches it.

Comment:
ANOVA class was terrible. The midterm was so difficult. The practice test he gave students to prepare was COMPLETELY different from the actual test. His lecture notes were textbook photocopies (repeated word for word in class), useless math proofs that took up 95% of class time, and very unapproachable.

Material is dry and you must attend class to do well. Midterms were EXTREMELY hard.. he worded them in a tricky way. I got 37% on the midterm and everyone I talked to ranged from 30-50%. I am a straight A student and now my future is destroyed.

I hated cog psych before this class and I now find it interesting! Its definitely important to go to class if you want to do well, he leaves blanks in some of his slides and very point form.. so go to class and learn this stuff because its worth more than the textbook material!

After the first midterm I have realized YOU MUST GO TO CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Half the midterm marks were on easy things from class (which I didnt go to so obviously failed that section) and HARDDDDDDD questions from the text.. which were very specific!

I had Craig for an ANOVA stats class last semester. He was really passionate about teaching as you could tell from the tangents he went on. Unfortunately some of the students found these confusing. Personally, I found it engaging. His tests were challenging, but fair, and he was always available for help or clarification.

Craig is not a helfpul professor. He uses very outdated textbooks (1992 in 2008 for example), and his midterms are extremely hard, fill in the blank, no word bank, and fill in the blanks that could be absolutely anything. The _____ is the ____. (no joke) I regret taking this course with him.

Nice guy, but weird class. Why is a stats class for psych students so math-oriented? Why not teach us about spss? This course should be revamped!!

I had a seminar class for the first time with Craig. He provided really interesting reads on cognitive theories, and the discussions were always engaging and interesting. He has realistic expectations, and a sense of humor to boot.
