He is a decent lecturer, but he is sometimes confusing. He is really nice guy, and I had a beer w/ him and others. Lab can be time consuming b/c you have to plan your own experiment, but it was kind of cool to perform a rectal swab and analyze your gut E. coli. Tests were long, & I felt rushed. This was my fav. upper div bio. Micro is just cool.

This is the best teacher I ever had. He cares about students , always there to help and believes and invests in student even struggling to do so. I believe this teacher saved my career because he taught me how to learn and gave hope. I will always be grateful to him.

He is amazing!!! A lot of people said he was boring for Bio 25, but that's because Bio 25 is quite possibly the most boring class we have to take. I think he is a phenomenal teacher. As long as you study it's not too hard, and he is really interested in his students and their success. He's my favorite bio teacher here!

I have had Prof. Stephens for four classes now and he is a really great professor and a really nice guy. He's very knowledgeable in the subject matter and provides typed notes to help your studying. It being an upper division Biology class, you will need to put in some effort to get a good grade!

Everyday before this class I drank a large cup of coffee to keep me awake during it... It didn't work. It was really a chore just to goto this boring class. Great prof, knows his stuff, but his lectures and material are brutally boring.
