I learned quite a bit in this class and this professor graded my work not only timely, but gave great feedback (Good and Bad). Seems to really enjoy being a professor and the class was very interesting and kept me engaged. I would very much recommend this teach and class. I am getting ready to take another class with this professor!

Great class. Plenty of supporting material. Very clear expectations, what you see is what you get. Give good feedback and has real life experience. Basically, read chapter(s), do quiz(s), one writing assignment and one discussion question with three replies each week.

This review is for BBA 460 Cloud Computing. The course itself was somewhat confusing as it's a seminar class delivered over the web. Assignment requirements were somewhat ambiguous, but if you put effort into it you could get an A. E-mails were answered in a timely manner, and feedback on assignments was helpful. No textbook, only web readings.

Comment:

Professor Vanlengen graded our papers in a very timely manner and provided feedback that helped me do better on subsequent assignments. He was also excellent in returning email questions. In addition, his tests reflected our reading material and written assignments. I would suggest it as an elective class to take. Not labor intensive.

This was a great environment to learn in. Teacher responded to any emails as soon as possible. Tests and quizzes were standard and made easy to understand the questions (Not trying to trap you with trick questions). I would highly recommend his class.

Very boring class, make sure to pay attention to due dates for assignments and you will be fine. The class is easy as long as you have vista figured out and skim through the book before exams which are moderately difficult but manageable.

I love him as a person, but he's not a good professor. He's VERY intelligent and knows his material, but his lectures have nothing to do with his labs. Labs are often filled with mistakes. Test averages are in the F range, but he does curve. Again, love the man but just not the best teacher.

Lectures covered the book; labs covered skills. The book is very detailed, and forms the basis of the exams. The labs are hard because the instructor's written directions don't always make sense.

The class is setup horrible. It is very hard to take notes during lecture and he only assigns homework 4 times during the year which does not help you learn anything. Test averages are in hte F range.
