The lectures were great and she sought a lot of student involvement in the discussion. And when I say clear grading criteria, I mean there was an incredibly clear rubric and grades were handed back as that rubric, filled out.

Comment:

Prof. Lebens is one of the nicest professors. There are no tests and fairly easily graded papers. However, this is only great news if you're in for an easy class. Despite the high ratings of these categories, the class was boring, dull, and pointless at times. If you actually enjoy PHILOS and look to get something out of it, take a different class.

Dr. Lebens is super nice and understanding. I met with her in person because I was having a tough time in my personal life that affected school, and she helped me out. If you don't understand, she'll take that time to make sure you do. Not too difficult, but if I had to take this again, I would take it in class.

Lebens is a pretty horrible professor. I don't like her style of teaching and the format of this class. Definitely wouldn't recommend her. Everyone in my class had no interest in attending and hating every second of the class. Hate to be so mean, but just looking out for fellow Warhawks.

Crista is one of the nicest, most honest and caring professors I have ever had. She is a little awkward and weird, but she really wants to see her students succeed. Class is all papers, no exams so if you don't mind writing, then Crista's your girl.

TERRIBLE professor. She gave me a zero on my final paper and when I confronted her about it, she falsely accused me a plagiarism. The grade appeal took the entire following semester, and the Provost finally had to force the grade change. Completely ruined my last semester of college. Save yourself and stay away. FAR away.

Ok, maybe not completely unrelated, but you can do them without reading the assignments and/or attending class. She is a very nice professor, but this class needs to be revamped in the future.

AWFUL PROFESSER!!!!....Would ramble on in class about nothing and only 3 of 30 ppl would participate cuz no1 else knew what was going on. She gave me a 0 on a 5 page paper that i worked hard on, she said it didn't relate to the subject and a 0 was the only grade acceptable for her i guess!!!...DONT TAKE HER!

I really like this professor. She is understanding of personal situations, yet expects that you try your hardest and know the material. She is incredibly helpful, but isn't one to hold your hand every step of the way...if you need help then you need to step up and ask for it. She treats every student like an adult and an individual. Crista is a great teacher, so much so that I'm taking another class with her this year! Goes through the material so that you understand it, and makes really good discussions that actually work in a group setting. Great teaching style with interesting material.
