Mr. Hall does not teach chapters according to the book. He skips from this to that and is difficult to follow. His tests are hard because he does not give practice tests! So good luck knowing the material on tests.

Worst teacher ever! DROP his class immediately! His tests are not taken from the textbook, or from notes. If you stay in his class I HIGHLY advise going to a physics tutor and learn it on your own, because he will be no help and will only confuse you. Learn ALL formulas you can get your hands on! His tests are very formula oriented!

Easy material, but lectures are boring and unorganized. It's Hard to sit and listen to this guy talk! I probably wouldn't go to lecture if he didn't give quizzes everyday. He basically reads the powerpoint to you. This is not a hard class by any means, just extremely boring and can be frustrating at times because of how he runs lecture.

Avoid at all costs. I thought the bad reviews were just from kids who didn't go to class or try, but I'm a straight A student who tends to over-study everything and I've dropped this class. The reviews are right. His teaching strategy seems to be for you to ask enough of your peers and maybe one might have gleamed the answer from God or something.

I am just going to sum up this idiot with the following comment: he came to our review sessions 30 minutes late and stated he had "too much wine" avoid this class at ALL costs, seriously, if you need to take physics take it at a JUCO

Curtis Hall was my worst professor by far. He was completely useless and not at all helpful. I don't think he even knew what he was going on about. On a number of occasions he actually said, "Oh, no wonder you're confused." I did my best on his exams when I didn't read the book and didn't go to class. My advice? Avoid him like the plague.

Brilliant man, horrible teacher. He understands physics down to the wire however does a terrible job explaining it. Doesn't seem to care to much that the average on his tests were consistently around 65-68% Went in to office on several different occasions and left each time unsatisfied with the "help" that I got. His tests are relatively easy

Professor Hall is the worst teacher i've ever had. The tests generally do not reflect anything that was covered in class. He gets confused "why we arent studying and applying ourselves" when the class average is 17/30... clearly something wrong with teaching methods

Prof. Hall was very hard to follow, hard to understand, and spent most of his time debating with students about where they sat in the class room. The first few classes he managed to take up the whole 50 minute lecture with 6 power point slides.

How to succeed in his physics class: 1. Go to class 2. Read the book 3. Go to his review, and either show that you're interested or act like it. He'll help you out a lot Professor Hall is a great teacher. If you're just too lazy to do at least some of the list up there, don't get on here and write a bad review about him.

Worst teacher I've ever had! This is a physics for non-major class (supposed to be easier) and it is the hardest class I've ever taken in my entire life. Tests are so hard, the averages on all are D's. It's a major GPA killer. Goodbye scholarships!

SOOO HARD! I'm sure he is a great guy, but he is NOT a good teacher...at all. Doesn't explain anything...Uses a "Ask Your Neighbor" method. Do not take any classes from him!! Class is extemely boring and your grade is based off of 4 exams.

People need to understand ATMO is NOT an 'EASY A'. He's a challenging but excellent prof. If people gripe, it's b/c they didn't study hard enough. Most ppl in the class are freshmen. This isn't HS. you HAVE to study! Great prof. Loves Atmo, extremely helpful.. if you don't understand something just talk to him about it! nice guy, will work w/ you!
