Comment:

Cynthia is one of the best teachers I've ever had. If you don't understand something, tell her and she won't stop until you feel you do so. She gives a very detailed outline for all big papers, and as long as you follow it, you will get an A. She doesn't do exams, so the papers count for a lot. Small weekly quizzes, if you study, you'll pass.

She had us take these seemingly easy tests, when in actuality, everything you answer is wrong. She has you read a chapter a week, ranging from 15-30 pages. Miss Joseph is nice but not the best grader in the world. she gave everyone C's for their midterm and didnt figure out the actual real grade. her lectures are hard to follow and she allows students to share highly confidential information in class with stories that last forever with no reference to the book! I wouldnt recommend this instructor!

She is a very nice teacher. Knows her feild well. She makes class interesting. You diffenatly have to take notes and pay attention in her class because if you don't you will miss things. She teaches from experience. Tests are mostly 5 questions. We only had 1 research paper. I would take her class again.

Child Welfare! Cynthia is a wonderful person and she is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about social work... it helps that she's been a social worker for SO long! She's passionate about social work and expects you to be also! Tests aren't always understandable... and if you miss more than two days you can't get and A in that class!? Don't MISS!

Although Cynthia is a very nice lady,she should't be a teacher.While she does have some good stories about her experiences in the field,she doesn't stay on 1 topic long enough for people to learn about it.She mixes up definitions&then doesn't truly correct herself.She also doesn't follow her syllabus&changes due dates last minute.She isn't good!

Cynthia, is a very nice person. On the flip side she is in no way a good teacher. Some people are just not cut out for the job, and she is one of them. It's hard to understand her, and she makes many grammatical mistakes in her syllabus and in class. Very unclear of what is expected in her class to earn a good grade, can't even follow her own rules

Great teacher. Speaks from her own personal experiances in the social work field to give you better understanding. She gives you what you need to pass. MAKE SURE your papers are exactly the # of pages & words, etc. or she WILL mark you down. Also allows you to speak your own ideas and/or beliefs with no consequences. Loves debates.Had potlucks too!

I LOVED this teacher!!! She was completely upfront about social work, very clear on what to expect on the tests, and was willing to talk about anything. Made the class intersting and kept the students involved in class conversation. Excellent, excellent teacher.
