Dac knows mechanics inside and out, but he can sometimes be vague in explaining his examples. He is a very tough marker, and his exams are hard. But if you go to class and work to understand the examples he does go through, you should do fine on the midterm. He is not very approachable, but is helpful if you can summon the courage to talk with him.

Terrible teacher. Does not understand any questions you present to him. Refuses to answer questions and strives to fail every single one of his students. Made bad life decisions and terrible academic choices that he wishes for his students to pay for

By far one of the best profs in engineering at mrc. his methods are top notch and allow you to solve the hardest of problems. Work hard and you will not only get a good grade, but also love the course.

Dac has no interest in helping anyone but himself, expect 60% of each lecture or tutorial to be wasted as he talks about his great calculator or how old people are smarter than young people. Study hard, see Digby and ignore Dac, if you can find out when tests are I wouldn't even recommend going to class.

I thought Dac was a hilarious guy. If you failed his class you didn't listen when he clearly told you what was on the midterms/exams. You also didn't follow his advice about studying habits. He is a scary guy to approach. He also doesn't like stupid questions so don't ask any and he won't yell at you. Overall I think he is very good.

Teaches good techniques, but in a horrible, scary way. Be prepared to be yelled at and humiliated. Makes the exams rediculously hard.

Generally speaking I think that, Dac's style is not condusive to general class learning. He yells at you for expressing an opinion that differs from his own. he does not support alternate methods of solving problems on exams. The solution must be exactly like he showed it or you get docked marks. And he introduces solutions to problems which are not outlined in the course text. Much of this is reflected in the 70% failure rate for the course.

Dac is a good prof. I know most of the people in my class would work as much for this class as they would for other classes, and that you can not do. This is a weeder class and you really need to work hard to get anywhere. They only reason so many people fail is because they are not willing to put in time. Dac is not bad at all.

To set the record straight. He's way better than the other prof. who teaches the mechanics 1 course. He's the typical Asian Professor. Expects you to work hard and pay close attention to detail! As long as you listen to him, you'll really be good at the course.
