This is an economics class. The professor only talks about historical economic theories and if you ask he will say "we're only talking about the theory." He doesn't give 100% to any paper and he gives two papers assignments that are worth 50% of the total grade. So, forget about the 50%. The DOD assignment has nothing to do with the DOD book.

Dont read the book, the questions on the quiz don't have anything to do with the book. Clearly tells his students to limit messages to him. Not very helpful but ok for an easy grade

This is a most crappy professor. Teaches NOTHING, no notes or instruction, very hard tests. You basically teach yourself and are pretty much on your own. Yes this professor makes you read his overpriced book which he likely sells and makes profit from through his classes. Try to take another professor if you can. no option if have to take fin 5133

It's really not worth buying the textbook, but the study guide is helpful. His novel is a unique approach to the class. Some of his essay questions are out of left field, but he's only trying to get the students to think. I'm a female, and he was very helpful in his comments on my graded exams. He is extremely fair in his grading. I made an A.

I had to give a more updated rating. Yes, you are tested on his book, but no, it's not that bad. (Perhaps he read some of these reviews?) Over the web, most tests were MC and all done at your own pace. Answers questions promptly and courteously. Never had a problem with gender bias from this professor.
