He is not a very nice man. I busted my chops doing the work, studying for his impossible to pass exams, and I got a C- on a photoessay that I spent over a a month gathering the information and the photos for. When I got my paper back, I tossed it in the trash right in his face. DONT TAKE HIS CLASS. Save yourself the headache.

I observed Dr. P's classes and teaching style closely. He is very strict and a bit old-fashioned about things like attendance and cell phones. However, he knows his material and has a varied and effective teaching style. A good class for the diligent, but he does not grade for effort. Trying hard and showing up are not enough by themselves.

Plays favorites more than I have ever seen in my college career... I dropped his class bc he consistanly gave me poor marks for no apparent reason and when questioned about it, he told me to 'do it more right next time'... He took off 10 points on my quiz bc my answer went off the line by 2 words... he said I didnt know how to follow directions...

Dr. Patrias is a great lecture. His lectures are very interesting. The only problem is that he does not give a review before exams. The students are left to decipher what is in the professor's head for the questions. This includes everything that was said in clas- which was alot between Dr. Patrias and his assistant- and the chapters that we read.
