Very smart guy, has written several books. No tests at all in the class, just a lot of papers. Papers were super easy. Boring lectures but funny at times.

I really enjoyed Professor Patrick and learned a lot. Sometimes he goes on tangents and can be a little boring but overall the material was interesting. Tests are extremely fair as long as you pay attention in class and read the Bible passages he mentions. During the review for our final, he basically went over every question on the test.

Very intelligent man and good teacher if you get to know his style. He will help you out if you have questions on passages, especially if you are a religion major/minor. He takes some getting used to, and at times can be slightly boring. If you are serious about religion and learning more about the history of religion (esp. the Bible) then take it

Professor Patrick is awesome. He is fun to talk to, nice, and very knowledgable. I admit class time can be worthless, but if you make the effort to be have fun and lighten it up then he is very receptive. He doesn't give tests, only papers and he lets you rewrite them if you want to. So your grade us up to you.

This class was difficult but not as difficult as he made it. Worst prof. to follow makes rediculous comments, thinks taking hard tests is funny and always says "at any rate" shut up man! Do not take this prof. seriously I am a good student and I struggled in this class.

Most frustrating and offensive class I've ever taken. This man is teaching a bible class and tries to tell us that he won't believe the bible until there's scientific fact to prove it. As my friend put it, "Tenure is such a terrible thing."
