Do not take for 323. Lectures are all over the place, exams are the only grades in the class but are very tough to achieve a good grade on, and all the blame is placed on the student. Not sure how he is with higher levels of finance, but do not take 323.

He explains very well. I took one Finance course in his class and one research project with him. If you really want to learn real Finance, he is the right man. He is not tough, but he wants real hardwork from his students. He is a great professor.

Comment:

Prepare yourself for presentations every week and for your self esteem to be crushed in the process. The class is spent "teaching" each other but you really don't learn much and then in turn, the test are extremely difficult. However, if you work hard, the grade seems to work itself out in the end.

Hardest class I've taken at Marshall, but I probably learned more in this class than any of my other finance courses at Marshall. He has very high expectations for all of his students on both presentations and papers. He will grill you on your presentations no matter how good or bad they are. Give the class your all, and you will get an A or B.

Brozik is an awesome professor. He will challenge you and tell you like it is. I learned more from this 1 professor during 1 class than I did in probably 3 semesters of finance classes. Wish I would have taken him for every finance class I had.

Dr. Brozik is an amazing professor. That being said, he expects nothing but your best. Make sure you have thick skin and your ego can take a beating. 4 group presentations and 4 papers. DO NOT PLAGARIZE. He takes this class seriously. He will expect you to be wrong and then correct you, this is how the class it taught. Make sure you have a suit.

Finance majors: You WILL have to take Brozik and go through Hell before you graduate. Yes, this is going to be your hardest class. Watch your grammar and DON'T plagiarize! Class was not difficult. He explains the material fairy well. Spends waaaay too much time talking about useless stuff especially his history lessons. He doesn't like gays, english majors, or music majors and his comments are on these matters are humorous. I would recommend him for FIN 323 its not as hard as everyone says.

He challenges you, so the class will definitely frustrate you. Do the best you can, and you will be very pleased at the end of the semester. Brozik is a good teacher. I had him for seminar, which was ridiculous, but kind of cool. The class is his life though, and he is way into it. He is intimidating sometimes, and does spent half the class talking about his jobs on submarines in the navy, working as a nuclear engineer, etc. Class isn't too taxing though. Almost everyone got A's.

He is a tough one to read. You sometimes think that he hates you and sometimes he's just a nice guy. He is very interesting, and his stories are good but they take up valuable class time. His tests are crazy and you wont know why you miss things, but he does give you a chance to make up points.

He's been everywhere and loves to talk about it. He also seems to know everything and loves to talk about that too. A very intimidating/interrogative/condescending man. First off, he knows everything. No really, he does. He's a genius, he likes to talk about his travels, sometimes the stories are entertaining... Pay attention to this man, you could learn a lot.
