she's irresponsible and unreasonably stubborn. She was out for half the semester because she had a baby and I ended up paying a price for her unavailability by getting a really effed up grade. I'm a pre-med student and now my chances of getting into a med school are gone because of this phony "doctor" alkass. I will remember and hate her forever

Her Spanish accent could use some improvement. Should try to make class discussions a little more interesting, but she did have her moments of brilliance. She's very nitpicky but she does tell you exactly what she wants, so as long as you do everything the way she wants it you'll be OK.

This professor has no idea of what she's talking about. Her spanish is average. She speaks span-glish better. Very unhelpful and unclear when it comes to dealing with students. Be aware of what you do in her class. She forgets what she says and does not set clear expectations nor keeps her word. Do not take a class with this professor. Poor rating.

Alkass Blaise was a pretty good teacher, she did make us speak only spanish in class which is obviously the point in learning spanish. She graded fairly, there wasnt much homework, the hw there was was simple and took no more than about 15 minutes to do

Professor Alkass-Blaise has the best TA's EVERRRRR!!Especially Jonathan Groden, he is the most amazing TA i ever had, he is soo cooperative and patient with all his students, he is the bomb-digity!! and he's really cute :)

This teacher didn't really do anything to my Spanish. Her class didnt help me with the language, and she made everything so uninteresting. He method of teaching was also nuts. i really dont recommend taking this class with her if you want to take span

Must speak Spanish in her intermediate level classes, and only Spanish- I found this to be very helpful in learning the language. Also, she covers both grammar and literature. You learn quite a bit, but you have to do your work.
