Comment:

Calc II is a tough class, and he doesn't make it easy for students. He's a very fair grader, gives partial credit on test questions, and spends the entire class working through problems. He isn't very approachable and can be condescending if you don't understand concepts. He talks fast so it's hard to keep up. Overall great guy though!

Comment:

Coroian is a really nice guy, but not a great professor. The entirety of class is spent watching him write problems on the white board with no class interaction. He then proceeds to base 80% of your grade on 4 10 question tests. If you bomb one test you are screwed. This would be a better class if he gave your more chances to succeed.

Lectures were clear, but his tests were really hard. He gave us a study guide but no answer key. Encourage students to drop the first day. Its mainly online homework and tests. No one got a 100%. By far the hardest professor I ever had.

This was the hardest class I've ever taken. He provided lectures but they weren't visible or audible. Had to substitute with Pearson lectures the entire semester. Homework was excessive and difficult. Tests were unreasonably hard. He would give one thing on the study guide, and the tests would be 10x harder. Ended up grading on a curve. 0/10.

I took MA 229 (calculus) online. He posts his in-class lectures, but you can't hear him or see what he's writing, so you have to teach yourself. Your grade is based on four exams and homework. The exams are so incredibly hard compared to homework and he doesn't curve them. Class average is usually around a 50 and all he says is "try harder".

Best math teacher ever! You will understand the materials just by going to class and really pay attention. He gives partial credits so always show your work. You can also "buy" the formulas during tests, meaning you come up and ask him what a particular formula is, he writes it down for you, and you get a few points counted off.

Probably one of the best teachers that I have had at IPFW. He is very knowledgeable in the subject and is very thorough. He does move very fast through the material, I would not recommend skipping class. Get ready to take a lot of notes.

Great Prof! He is very helpful and his teaching style is great! Doesn't simply stand up there and lecture. He really knows his stuff and can convey it to his class in an easy to understand manner. He isn't one to just pass you on, but if you give a reasonable effort you will do fine in his class. Take him if you can.

Fantastic professor. Everything was explained clearly, though it was an online class. He really recognized how difficult Calculus is for most students and he was really helpful. He went above and beyond to give each student a chance to succeed in this class. I am so glad I took Calculus with him.

he has a very different style of teaching. he knows we don't want to be there so he gets the material done and over with fast. he hardly ever lecture the whole time. make sure to review material on your own because he hardly repeats himself. tests are fair and grading is pretty fair as well. if you don't want to do homework, don't take his classes

Great prof, rarely takes the whole class time to lecture. He's extremely fast and efficient both in writing and lecturing. Be prepared to do quite a bit of homework and out of class studying on your own though. Tells a joke once in a while, but there are no random rants or other BS. Just Math.
