Dan is by far my favorite professor at AU. He teaches engaging courses which make you grapple with tough problems the US faces regarding Env. Policy. There is a significant amount of reading, but it is important for the class and you'll learn a lot from it. Dan cares about his students and gives great feedback, he's also a genuinely kind persons.

Professor Fiorino is literally my favorite professor at AU. He really knows his material and is willing to help students with whatever they need. I genuinely enjoyed going to his class every week. If you have any interest in environmental policy, this is a MUST-take class. Much better than most of those SIS environmental classes.

Have him for Env. Policy. Interesting course, but he gives a LOT of reading. Almost too much to finish between weekly block classes. But the course has been really fun. It's your general lecture-style of teaching, and can get pretty boring at times, except for the weekly trivia, but if you need an elective, the course is definitely interesting!

Pretty dry class. Not particularly difficult but you have to do the readings in order to get good grades on the quizzes, mid term, and final. Does not test on in class, but rather on the readings. Nice guy though and has been in environment policy for a long time.

A 5:30pm Thursday block is not often something looked forward to. Fiorino's Enviro Policy class was entirely different. It was a fun class and he knows his stuff. There reading was heavy and the quizzes could get rough; but you definitely come out with a better grip on the subject. He was a great professor to have, and is highly recommended.
