Very energetic, very specific. Tough grader. Makes you know it to a tee, or tries however. Super smart. He loves when you go to him for extra help. Class was definitely hard but I did well. He does plenty of examples and tries his best to get the whole class into it. Likes trick questions too.

unless you have taken physics or are really good at math, this class is impossible!! he give packets on Monday and due Friday which is nice but its still a lot of work!! there isn't a tutor for this class either : Gales either likes you or he doesn't so if he doesn't like you, you are pretty much screwed and wont get any help. best of luck!

People will give him a bad name because they refuse to work hard. When it comes down to the end of the semester, he made you learn and did it in a helpful way. He is never unfair and is the most useful person on campus I have yet to find

Gales is the absolute BEST professor at LHU. He has helped with with any problem I have ever had. He's not even my advisor but I go to him because he is the most helpful person on campus. I had him for anatomy 1 and the class wasnt easy, but he made it fun and clarified any confusion. Overall, best professor I have ever had.

Great class to sit in on, horrible tests to take. I think he tries to make an even bell curve, so only the brilliant can do well. You'll learn the material well enough for grad school; unfortunately with his grades, you won't get in to any grad schools, so...Has his favorites, helpful if you ask.

Mr. Gales is an excellant professor. Just plan to start studying when the material is introduced so it is concrete by his exams. He is all about a consistant student, if you are you will do well. He has no patients for half-hearted efforts by the students.

As a professor, I do not like Dan Gales. The dissections that you spend 10+ hours a week on and the lab reports are worth NOTHING towards your final grade. He gives you a choice of 5 books and what he believes to be true often disagrees with the text. Tests you on material he may have mentioned ONCE in passing.

Gales is an ok teacher not my best. he tries to explain things well but it is usually over the top. if you are not as smart as he is he wont like you and if you are he still wont. his test are stupidly hard and rediculusly worded. almost Pointless. if a phys ed major dont take.

Overall, I enjoyed Gales' class. Anatomy and Physiology 1 covers a lot of material but the tests are pretty straightforward and he grades on a curve, taking the highest grade as a 100 percent which definatly helps account for any tricky questions. He provided review sessions which proved helpful at times and promptly posts his grades after tests.
