Comment:

Goia received his PhD at CU in 1999. From there, he went back as manager in industry, came back to work for his mentor, Matijevic. He did no scholarly work but recycled the same stuff Matijevic does. Goia became 'professor' in 2003, by NOT applying for a tenure track professor search that was advertised in 2002, with 60 apps/10 finalists selected.
