taking this class was a mistake. at first he seemed like a good, old guy but he is rude most of the time. he tells you one thing, but grades you completely differently. he's boring. i really tried my best to reach out to him and be friendly, but he was not having it... DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS! he failed me and i was completely blindsided..

DO NOT TAKE he grades really tough. Does not give feedback thought I was doing well in his class even went to meet him he said I was passing doing fine. He failed me. Totally blindsided me. Cant trust him. I did well in first class with him this semester it was like the evil did the grading and it is all subjective but why fail I asked be honest

The most BORING TEACHER. He says he likes the projects to be "open ended" and when you have no idea what you're doing and completely miss the topic of the project he gives you a bad grade because we didn't follow "the topic guidelines" do not take his class. I lost all forms of inspiration.

DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!! He thinks he's funny but he's really just monotone and boring. He has no real method of teaching..everyone is ALWAYS lost. He is unclear as to what he wants from projects and refuses to show class examples. He is rude during critiques, and still gives you a bad grade even when he pretends to like your work.

DAN IS AMAZING! I had no idea how to use photoshop, illustrator, or any of the 'Adobe stuffs' at first, but now I can confidently say that I have a pretty good understanding of them. He is specific. He really emphasizes precision. But he also gives specific instructions and puts them on the blackboard. You will learn a lot from him.

Dan seems cool at first, and will laugh and tell jokes with you, but does not explain anything in class. And then gets frustrated when the entire class does everything wrong and makes EVERYONE redo EVERYTHING. He will pretend to agree with your ideas, then fail you upon grading and act as if he never saw your work prior. Nice guy, awful teacher.

Dan is the man. Some people found him a bit boring at times but it's only because he's ensuring that EVERYONE understands the concepts, he teaches to the lowest common denominator which is very helpful for everyone. He's got a great (if corny) sense of humor. He instills good habits in terms of presentation and attention to detail. I love Dan!

Dan is super funny. People in my class would call him a dad because he makes corny dad jokes and well you will see. He is great with giving directions. He puts step by step instructions on blackboard. He is kind of hard, but you will learn a lot.

I would never recommend taking his class. By the end of the semster, you will find yourself hating design. That's all I can say.You will never be able to show your creativity. It felt more like a math or science class--constant frustration! Trust me, don't take his class.

DAN is a really great teacher. His voice might crack and also make you feel a bit sleepy sometimes when he's going on and on about Photoshop and Illustrator techniques. but he's really knowledgeable and helpful. He also has a secret sense of humor with his sarcasm. Loved his class. Learned a lot.

He may seem a bit dry to some, but I LOVED his class!!! I learned SO much!! He likes the sound of his own voice a bit, but he's very interested in his subject and his students' comprehension. He is VERY knowledgeable and can teach you A LOT if you pay attention. Just loosen him up a little, he'll be great!

very boring and meticulous. teaches things that dont matter - ie. how to tape for all3 hrs...but then doesnt explain important big projects clearly and gets frustrated when the whole class does the project wrong. he will say the project is "open" then off bor going outside the box. nice person, bad teacher, good luck getting an a!
