Mr. Lopez is the sweetest and most caring professor I've ever had. He is constantly encouraging his students to pursue their passions and to live life to the fullest. He's all about positivity. Yes, this class was super boring. Yes, I think it could've been more interesting if he was more organized. But he himself is a great professor bc he cares.

Prof. Lopez is probably one of the most fun professors you will meet. Not only can he make a room of 200 students laugh at his lowrider jokes, but he is willing to work with you. His lectures are based on powerpoints and arent appealing, but if you can make it through them, you will ace the test. I would highly recommend this Professor.

Ridiculous. This poor guy tries so hard but the class is a major waste of time. He's scattered, unorganized, and boring. The class is all over the place and nothing we learn connects to one another. Daily attendance, honestly just have someone sign in for you. Avoid him and probably this class all together. I feel bad because he really tries...

This guy is super passionate about what he teaches. He always tells personal stories during class. He takes attendance, so you either have to go every day or have someone sign you in. Tests are fairly easy and most are on Moodle. There's barely any work-3 group projects, 1 cultural essay (1 page) and no presentations.

Worst teacher I've ever had, I'm actually astonished that he still has a job. It's unfortunate because the material could be interesting if he decided to do his job and teach it.

He is an easy grader but a little scattered. Tests are all memorizing pictures and homeworks are very easy. He is a boring lecturer especially if you have it once a week. Attendence is important because he takes roll regularly. Lots of movies and powerpoints, but is boring

Not too bad of a lecturer, keeps you involved, but material is kinda boring. Pointless busy work that he doesn't clarify, lots of boring reading. The final was super hard- TONS of memorizing paintings and artists. Fairly helpful outside class

Sweet, forgiving, flexible, understanding man. Very unclear, but if you miss deadlines because he was unclear, will take late work. Fairly boring, but an easy A. 3 hrs on Friday is not the best section....

This professor is an interesting guy. He really wants to do good in this world, and he feels his way of doing it is by teaching. He really loves teaching too, but his organization level is horrible. For instance, he's lost graded papers before in class. Easy A if you go to class and do the weekly 5 page papers from two books.

BORING. you have 4pgs due every week, which i doubt he even reads considering the amount of students in the class. the class is unorganized and i don't think the course description is an accurate account of what you actually do in class: which is basically waste a few hours out of the day

Amazing teacher and artist. He loves his job and is interested in his student's lives. 4 page outline of the text a week, but only one test at the end of the semester. The final is just memorizing pictures and artists. As long as you put effort into the homework, you will get an A. TAKE HIS CLASS!!

this was such a boring, useless class. i learned nothing at all about chicano art or literature. HOWEVER, the class is incredibly easy. if you bring your laptop to class, sit in the back and surf the web...it passes the time. oh yeah, attendance is MANDATORY. i learned this the hard way...

incredibly boring class. usually we watch movies or talk about the reading from 2 weeks ago that no one remembers. If you do the essay each week and show up, you'll get a good grade

Very lazy and disorganized. All we ever did was watch movies in class, sometimes movies that had nothing to do with CALS. We have to turn in weekly homework; he barely reads them and sometimes doesn't even grade them. He even missed our final because he forgot to come. Take him if you want an easy A, but not if you actually want to learn.

Sometime people mistake him for being unorganized, I think this is because he has so much information he wants to show us he sometimes doesn't know where to start. He is a great teacher and loves what he is doing. He wants to make a difference and infrom people of the wrong doings in the world!! wonderful teacher, wish we had more like him!!

David Lopez is probably my favorite teacher at SSU. His class is very easy. You do not have to try very hard, and he will give you a good grade. It can be boring at times, but he tries to make it fun. There is no midterm, only test is the final, its on power point, and he gives you a copy of it with the answers before hand. Take this class.

Very boring, and he takes the whole class talking about nothing. Sit close to the front becasue he mumbles and makes weird noises that make him unclear.
