Dr. Skean was my favorite professor I had this semester. He managed to make a 3 hour lab class fun and entertaining. He was always willing to help you in lab if you weren't sure exactly what you were doing. He was assessable outside of lab. Plus, he would host review sessions before our lab midterm and final exam.

Comment:

Dr. Skean is the best prof ever! I was a nervous wreck going into my freshman year and he calmed all my nerves. Bio 195 lab is not the most interesting class, but he makes it so fun with his humor. I recommend getting to know him outside of class by coming to his office with your questions, hes one of those teachers that becomes a friend.

He is almost every Bio majors' favorite prof. I love his fun lecture style and awesome sense of humor. I had him for 3 classes my first semester and always looked forward to them. His exams aren't hard if you study for them and he is super helpful and generous. He has helped me out a lot and genuinely cares about students.

Skean is the man! Absolutely adore him! While the class is entirely review of AP bio, his laughter at his own jokes kept me entertained! He loves his plants, which can sometimes make his examples harder to follow than those with animals. overall great guy and prof!

Very nice and extremely helpful especially during office hours. He is always available to help and makes time to help his students. He makes lecture fun and is goofy but that is what makes his lectures fun. He actually makes it so you want to come to class. His tests are pretty easy and straightforward. Just do the study guides and you will be fine

He is a super nice guy and is more than willing to help. what sucks is his lab tests which include some questions that u would not believe would ever be on there. that can make a difference between an A and a B. Just want to warn u

Partly online work for homework. He really loves his plants which is kind of relieving and annoying at the same time in the sense that you know he knows what he's talking about but he can get carried away. If you don't find his jokes funny his laughter at his own jokes will definitely get you. He's a fun teacher and cares a lot.

Dan Skean is the man! He's a bit pushy with anti-religous views (ironic, because he's so active with the local Methodists), but his class is run so smoothly. He made class at 8 am so much fun! If I could do it all over again, I would be a bio major because Dr. Skean makes it so much fun!
