Read his MLO's, reading the chapters was a waste of time. There's weekly quizzes, pretty easy but you have to do well on the Midterm and Final. The Midterm was harder than the Final. He said he would curve but not really, its an easy class and manageable just a lot of material to cover and remember.

Professor Farrow is probably the best professor I've had at FIU. He is super knowledgeable, very funny, and makes class extremely entertaining. The material is fairly interesting, but he makes it even better. The only negative would be that his tests are challenging :( but he gives huge curves! It was a pleasure having him! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I'm surprised at the below comments... This professor was great he was very accessible ( he allows you text him if its urgent). Yes there are quizzes(DUH) ,however he does provide a guide (MLO) if you actually READ it, all the answers in the guide ... I TOTALLY agree the midterm and finals hard/tricky. Case studies very simple 2-3 simple questions.

Weekly quizzes/10 questions each/timed 10 minutes. Weekly case studies due. Easy work, tough mid term and final. No reviews given, just study MLO's and previous quizzes. Does not curve grades at all. Takes a while grading stuff. Not a warm and fuzzy type of guy but I guess he's just doing what he has to do. 2nd time taking him.

by the way for his Final and Midterm all you get is an outline of each chapter and quizzes to study. and the quizzes thats if you have enough time to write them down because you only have 10 mins for 10 questions. HE DOES NOT PROVIDE STUDY GUIDES. so get to reading 40 pgs and memorizing. I'm taking this class online so i imagine on campus is worst.

Additionally, this prof. takes an eternity to answer emails. He expects you to memorize all the laws related to Unions which, mind you, each chapter has between 40 to 50 pgs. So if you don't work, you have an amazing memory, & you only take this 1 class I'm sure you will be able to pass it. otherwise, I dont advise you to take him, you will fail!

Guys do not takes this professor. I am just trying graduate and this is my last class but he has made it impossible for us to pass this class. He removed all the quizzes from quizlet and course hero related to his class. He does not curve his exams. In his last class, 1 person got an A, 1 got a B, 4 got a C, 16 people got D's and 30 people got F's.

Don't take this professor!! Trust me, horrible experience. He doesn't explain the exercises we have to do and those exercises, are 15 points from the test. He doesn't tell you your grades during the semester, you only get your mid-term exam grade. So you don't know how you are doing until you get the grades on the university's website. BORING CLASS

Professor Farrow is very knowledgeable, and his class is really interesting. Attendance is not mandatory. Only 2 exams- Mid term and final(Multiple Choice - 50 questions ) So make sure you study - If you read the book and use his handouts you will be fine. Also, you will have 10-in class- case studies- you can work in small groups or by yourself.

if you aren't prepared to read a lot then find another professor. There are 12 quizzes that have 10 questions each (10min time limit), 11 assignments from the textbook and two exams worth 70% of the total grade. The exams can be difficult and the time limit on the quizzes doesn't help. I'm a straight A student and ended with a B+.

Quick to respond to emails/calls/texts. Online course - 15 quizzes/videos/personal assessments. 1 midterm/1 final. Read the book because the prev quizzes won't help. Very firm prof. Easy class if you read the chapters and study for mid/final. No group projects or discussions. Thank goodness!

do not take this class in the summer. Way too much reading, he uses very dry humor and sarcasm in his lectures and talks about himself from time to time which is slightly unappealing. if your taking this an as elective, i suggest you look for another class. If you are getting your PHD and want to read alot, then you should take this.

You must read to do well in this class. He provides you with outlines each week which are helpful in studying and learning the material. There are weekly team assignments which is a case study from the end of each chapter. there are weekly quizzes 10 questions 10 minutes so be prepared. two exams 40 MC and 5 definitions. Study!!

Course is called recruiting and selection. It should only be called selection. That being said he is very well informed, friendly, and easy to understand. He is very helpful during exercises but tests can be tricky. Some questions come from book even though he doesn't go over them in class. Overall good course I just wish there was more recruitment

One of the best Professors of FIU!! Classes are really interesting. Attendance is not mandatory... Only 2 exams (which you will have to study!! Some questions are kind of tricky) and class participation (exercises). Really Good Class.! I Recommend Him
