REALLY nice guy. I think he sincerely wants his students to succeed, and is willing to help them along the way. Only annoying thing is that he's big on class discussions and attendance. Overall, pretty legit class and prof though. I think I'll take another class of his, (for the third time).

Amazing. Compassionate, caring, and truly engaged. People who question his motives haven't taken the time to learn anything about their prof - read his books, including the one about his time growing up in Kenya. Or his book on White Civility and privilege. Brilliant.

I love Daniel Coleman. He is intelligent, humble, and extremely helpful. A charming man who does not place himself above you, but rather uses the class to come together and discuss material WITH his students, not AT his students. Thank you Dr. Coleman, it was a real treat to have a class with you.

Passionate, interesting and honest, as well as well-researched,insightful and humble. Anyone who could say he has "small-man's syndrome" probably has patriarchal-umbilical-cord- attachment-syndrome. And for a "privileged shortish white guy? - A visionary who stands head and shoulders above peers.

Daniel Coleman is one of the best teachers I ever had. He really does care a great deal for his students and always makes time for them. This guy is probably one of the best professors I have ever had. Changed my thinking! This guy is no poser, not like others in his department. Thank you Daniel!
