Dr. Gelo has the mild manner and self-effacing style that is typical of great men. More intelligent than any professor I've had, and at the same time, more engaging and personable. Expert on the Plains Indians. Comanche speaker.

Dr. Gelo came across as a person genuinely passionate about anthropology. Good lecture style, but not exceptional. Helpful and approachable. The thing I remember most is the OJ trial verdict coming in during the end of one of his classes!

Nice guy. Tests can be tricky because they only have 25 questions. You can't skip class because you will get behind. Intersting and not hard to understand. Read,Listen, and come to class, you can do good.
