Comment:
Heiber's personality and teaching style are def not for everyone, but these ratings don't do anyone any good if you make up stuff just b/c you didn't like him. I remember the gf comment. It was meant as a joke and it was completely unrelated to his absences (which he notified us about in an e-mail). He is a bit quirky, but very professional.

I don't know what class some of those guys were in, but I had Dan as a teacher and he was great. He knows the material like the back of his hand. He is seldom in his office, but he quickly responds to all e-mails. In regard to the tests, I found him to be extremely fair. Just show up, pay attention, and take good notes and you'll be fine.

Good, teacher if you have a question will be very helpful. assigns way too much reading, but covers the material in class. So show up to class and pay attention and you should be fine.

I found it pretty easy to get a good grade in this class. I had to study quite a bit for the tests, but he gives you a good idea of what is on the tests, so you cab prepare yourself and get a good grade. As long as you go to class, take good notes, and stufy a little the tests, it is pretty easy!

Hehehehe.... He's soooo adorable, I could barely pay attention to class!!! And that unidentifiable accent :o) The class is not easy, but he's an incredibly nice person, and willing to help if you show you're interested and he knows you're working hard.

I must agree with person below. Hieber is a genius that knows the material and can argue both sides of a theory.

For the person below me that said Hieber doesn't know anything.. Well, I think that person must be a real idiot. I took Hieber's class two semesters ago, and I personally think this guy is extremely sharp. Tests are easy to follow and there's no papers.
